Wandering a lonely oasis
Sandy prints
follow my heels
Serpents slither ear to ear
Light struck me like a vein
Lightning bugs
began to rain
Her silhouette
dancing in the moon
But she's too far
too far to speak
She dances for the lonely
on a desert winters night
to the music
softly playing
inside a satellite
She's the guardian of this wasteland
and she mothers to us all
The slackers
and their saviors
and all who chose to fall
The whores
and all the children
who spit-shine their fathers floors
We cry here
and we bleed
so much
the sand is wet
we cry here
and she heals us
We watch her
eyes like zombies
just like the living dead
We watch her
and we pray her
Goddess in an orb
Filling all our voids
just like hailstones paint a wall
She pours our misery
Point us home
to crawl
