Jessica

Golden haired prisoner
(with a blue streak I gave her)
Angry braces
tried to bite the world
that lay on her plate
but it only laughed in her face
I couldn't begin to understand
Like a Picasso
Picture perfect
Perfectly pictured
Mangled
but still a wonder
I introduced her to me
while we gathered at the wall
midway into our first year of hell
She called us cool
I remember
and bled her name upon a book
I wish I'd kept
Jessica was lost before she knew where she wanted to go
Her parents fed her slavery
but she was dead already
Long before she made that appointment with her fathers gun
(A week in advance just like mommy liked)
Now she's gone
Dead and buried
Lost but not learned from
I just wish I could have been an angel

*In tribute to an angel whos life was cut short because she couldn't tell anyone
about the pain she was feeling and decided to end it herself,
R.I.P Jessica*
