Nothing accentuates a stock muffler better than a large chrome tip. And we all know the significant power gains when adding such a part to an Accord LX. Like 50 extra MaDd HoRsEpOwErZ or something like that.
But all that extra power comes at a price. See, the extra weight of that tip means the wimpy stock muffler hangers aren't strong enough to do their job anymore. So an aftermarked muffler hanger has to be used. Only, Akimoto was all out of carbon fiber ones, and there'd be an 8-month backorder, so the owner of this car decided to implement a quick fix: chain.
Not only does it work, but it gives the car a more macho look. And it makes a cool noise when slides along the links while the car is turning. Very ingenious!
