Shelly

Shelly is my good friend who got me into online journaling by setting such a good example. She and I are opposites in a lot of ways, but are a lot alike in others. Shel comes from North Carolina, and a very different background, and teaches me a lot about the world, about herself, and by extension about me. I admire Shelly because she has found something she is interested in in college and is sticking with it, and actually wants to make a career of it. She's been in linguistics for more than a year now, and she's still into it. I wish I had an interest like that.

Shelly wants to be great. She is great, as far as I'm concerned.

She's married to Andy, and shares a lot of his interests. She's competitive enough that she likes to play his games with him. She's also very active in the MUSH community.

Shelly just got back from having been at a linguistics institute for a month. I missed her lots, and am glad she's back!
