Kirstin
AKA: My Munchkin, Punkin, Sweet PeaYes, I'm an evil mom and I call her all those things. On a good day I even call her "sweetest of all possible sweet peas".
Kirstin turned 8 on August 7. She wants to be a ballerina when she grows up. She spends a lot of time playing dress-up and reading her new chapter books, and likes to write a lot, especially now that she's learning cursive.
I love her to the moon and back. She's the only munchkin I will ever have, and that makes her all the more precious. I try not to spoil her with only-childness, and make sure she spends lots of time with other kids.
Her favorite colors right now are light pink and purple, although that changes all the time. She isn't much into sweets, but she loves a good crunchy apple at any time of the day. Kirstin hasn't really learned to swim yet, but enjoys bobbing around in a life vest and can put her face in the water. She likes going for boat rides and camping, except for the really dirty parts.
Punkin is always a more cautious, reserved child physically, but she's fairly mentally adept, and will not hesitate to talk with anyone, adult or otherwise. She has always been a kindly child, and likes to play with babies and younger kids very much, and can be very careful with them. Almost all of her favorite playmates are younger than she, by a year or more.
For her birthday she wanted a big Pooh easy chair she saw at Target, but it would have cost my entire birthday budget to get it, and I didn't want to not get her some other stuff. Instead I got some little things to Pooh-ize her room, like a comforter set, some wall decals, a big stuffed Pooh, and that sort of thing.
Kirstin's new room is painted "tutu pink" which makes her very happy.
