Out Dog! Out Cur!
Then fair Hermia kicked Demetrius across the stage, pounced upon him, beat him silly, and pinned him to the ground.Last night in rehearsal we worked on the scene I describe. It is going to be great fun. I basically get to pound this poor guy into the dirt, and yell at him with much ferocity. It's cathartic.
I've been promised that I will have a Lysander tomorrow night. This is a really good thing, since we haven't even started any of those scenes, and the show goes up in a couple of weeks. It's a bit stressful. They are swearing up and down they've got someone this time, and I really hope they mean it. *Anyone* is better than a blank peice of stage.
I'm really looking forward to tonight. I get to go try to finish drywalling my bedroom. Anyone who wants to help is more than welcome. Drop me an email, I dare you, and join in the fun. Roomie doesn't think I will be able to move in this weekend, but I'm still going to try. It will be a close call.
I'm pleased to say that I also get to see my munchkin tonight. Kirstin is going to come out to the new house with me. She likely won't be hanging drywall, but she will be poking about, seeing her new room and so on. I'll be glad to see her. I miss her muchly, since my Mom interfered with her schedule. I won't get her back full time until next Monday. I'm hoping to see her on Saturday, though, for the Silver Leaf Faire. We try to take our kids to that faire every year. It's a lot of fun for little ones. They even have a "Talking Bush" that magically heckles passersby. Kids think its great. Parents enjoy watching the kids. It will probably be a warm day, but there is a lot of shade there, so I'm not terribly worried. I'm somewhat hoping to pick up something with which to decorate my front porch... maybe a wreath.
Work today is nuts. There's some inexplicable yet huge outage in the counties' connections to the internet, that is only affecting some of them, and not in any specific geographical area. Truly wierd. I'm thinking there's a router out there somewhere that isn't spitting its data in the right places, but I can't prove it yet.
