Cleaning like mad

All I did this weekend was clean; or at least that's how it feels to me. My shoulders and back still ache from the 4 straight hours I spent scouring my kitchen floor. Despite many scrubbings I still have something under one of my fingernails, and little spots where bleach made my fingers peel.

In fact, I did take a few Cinderella-esque breaks from my weekend of drudgery, which should be duly noted. Friday night we went to dinner and then stayed at the Sheraton for the night. It was lovely, and we went swimming and all that, which is always a happy thing.

It is nice to have our house clean, though. I mean REALLY clean. For some reason, we'd fallen into a habit of staying out more, coming home late, and dumping things in piles on our kitchen table. Laundry was clean, but piled in our room waiting to be put away. Dishes are clean, but sitting in the dishwasher. I'm hoping that some organizational changes I've made will help, but I suspect that I just plain have to spend more time at home in order to keep it really neat.

I've become a complete Ebay addict now; I just bid on another taekwondo uniform, and I'm browsing for some new headgear for Forest. It's amazing how much less these things cost this way. I guess as long as I only buy things I would have bought already, I'm actually saving money. It's pretty cool.
