Thank heaven it's a short week.
This was a nice holiday weekend. We got our house relatively in order on Friday, and spent lots of time with friends, playing games and dodging the june bugs. My only regret is that we weren't able to get in a game of volleyball. We had planned it for Monday, but were rained out. In general, though, I ate too much junk food and slept too little, but it was a nice holiday.I got to see one of my old friends on Monday, since she was in town for Memorial Day weekend. Robin and I met in second grade, and were best friends all the way through until graduation. She's great, and we still have a lot in common. (Mostly that we don't know what we really want to do in life, and that we are moving back to Eaton Rapids soon.) It's funny how after all this time, we are still running neck-and-neck like that.
This week will be relatively taxing. Work will be challenging, and I will have both girls every night while roomie is in rehearsal until all hours of the night. I also have Karen's bridal shower tomorrow, for which I have to prepare some food and games.
I took Kirstin to see Star Wars Episode I this weekend. She thought she would be afraid of Darth Maul, the Sith Lord, because of his makeup and horns. She wasn't, though... the thing that scared her was the noise of the space ships engines. I thought that was odd! She was also mad because of one particular twist of the plot, but I won't get into that, because I won't be a spoiler. We'll just say she's a sap like her mom, and I was glad!
I am now an official computer geek. I have two computers on my desktop, permanently, it seems, running three different operating systems. Next thing you know I will have a pocket protector.
