Hi again. The following information has been given to me from several people. Did you know that Operation Hope apparently got a UPS grant in the amount of 17,000 in 1997? Apparently, the money was supposed to go to the building fund, and it went to pay his personal expenses. Several people on the board kept asking him where it went, he kept telling them that it was safe, after a while, he finally admitted it was gone, but didn’t say where it went to. "I know people directly, and I was one that had been led to believe that he was a good guy, but he’s just in it for the money" This is but one quote from one of my sources. Do you know that Terry told people that he paid Scott $4,000 to come here and speak? Well, according to Scott, his trip and expenses was covered by people in Colorado. "Well, this I cant prove, yet, but I know that it went in his pocket." -another source Strange things happen at Gwaltneys Church, it seems that when he would take up the offering, count it and put it up, that Terry would later say that it had been miscounted by the original counter, and that it was a couple hundred short. Maybe the gremlins were there...oh, I know....it was SATAN. "I also just found out that someone wrote stuff about Terry on the web, and another person found out, told Terry, and Terry told that person to keep it quiet, I thought it was your page they were talking about."-Source #3 "A friend of mine stopped going there, and within 2 weeks, the word was going around that my friend was "running from GOD", then a week later, word started going around that this friend was into drugs and going to strip bars, my friend is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. All I want is for him to stop hurting people, ... the thing about my friend is that he's was 1 of many many people Terry has started rumors about after they found out things and left the church."-Source "Do you know Latonya Mitchell? Well, she wears the pants in her family, and whole-heartedly follows Terry. She is getting her family members moved in to positions of leadership. This may not mean anything to you, but its another step in getting people there that aren’t from here and don’t know the rest of us and what we went through with Gwaltney."-Source "Ok, ... Cause its given freely to oasis, and Gwaltney charges the kids for it,.... Know where that money goes? You got it, his pockets... want to know why the name isn’t 180 anymore???... Because that wasn’t Gwaltneys idea either, he took it from the real program, and was supposed to pay them 5,000 for the franchise. Well he didn’t, and was forced to change the name after over a year of running it for free. He got money and free publicity from it."-Source (I'm currently looking into this) "Did you know that there was a credit card scam? There were credit cards issued to individuals, with the OP HOPE logo on them, but each person was responsible for their own bill... Well, although people didn’t really get the cards, a well known preacher, (board member of OP HOPE) had his run up to max, (5,000) and hadn’t used it. He was moving from one place to another at the time. Instead of going to Gwaltney, it got to a congregation member, of this preachers church, she turned it into him thinking it was just an address mistake, when he saw the card was maxed, he freaked, ... asked Gwaltney how that happened. Gwaltney blamed ***************, who used to be Manny the Clown, (he volunteered for Operation Hope). Well, then Manny left, still not knowing that he had been blamed for running up this card. Well, I saw a credit card statement too, ... red lobster dinners and ...etc. The preacher saw these too, and got fired from the board, well, the whole board got fired...(sources differ on this, some say the board resigned over it) so as to keep it quiet. Who was the minister? I knew you were going to ask, ... but a lot of people know anyway... (As soon as I verify this with the person, I will post their name, but only if given their consent to do so.), it was his card, but he didn’t use the card...."-Source Why didn’t anyone tell? Because Gwaltney is the only one here that’s not a man of God, everyone else just wants him to get straightened out and stop the crap... ok, after the board got fired, Gwaltney, Kim (his wife, VP) and her dad as treasurer of Operation Hope, were the only ones to see the books of accounting on op hope, even when there was a board of trustees, Gwaltney controlled the books.... They don’t want a scandal, and I told you its not illegal yet, did you know, since he’s president of Operation Hope, and its a charity, that only 10% of funds has to go to the "operation", that means Gwaltney can put 90% of the funds in his own pocket... Gwaltney demands that family life church gives 10 % of all tithes to Operation Hope, well, there you have that going in his pocket too... Plus what they pay him as preacher, and I say that lightly cause his sermons are not original, he gets "his" sermons from TV, other people, etc...."- Source "My mind is spinning in circles now! The list of stuff doesn’t end... He is really busy, and has been for 2 years doing what a select group of us call "damage control". But 1 person at a time, if he gets you by yourself, he can make you believe this stuff. He will not meet with just random people, EVERYTHING he does is planned out. Well, one accountant does the books for Operation Hope, don’t know if she still does or not, he owed her $1800.00 in back pay, and when he heard that someone else was going to pay her for his bill, he came up with the money from somewhere." Another Source "I’m not sure who does the accounting for the church. But I know the book keeper, she insists that Terry has done no wrong with those books, but he needed more money, especially after half of his congregation left, that is where the "tithe" or miscounting of them comes in at.... I’m convinced that getting Scott here was all a scheme to get Gwaltney more money"-Source "So, to answer you 3 questions for Gwaltney, 1. to set up a way to get money (the $4000 for Scott that Scott didn’t get.) 2.he gets his money from Operation Hope front 3.to keep everyone there so they tithe there and so the 10% goes to op hope = more money for Gwaltney... Ok?"-Source responding to my 3 questions for Gwaltney. "Ok the trucking scandal.... There was a semi load of food sent to Mexico, a guy, don’t remember his name, got the truck co to donate the truck and driver to take it to Mex. well, when he delivered the food, someone paid him 3,500. The driver asked what this was for and the guy told him shipping and handling, well, that money went straight to Gwaltney, and the truck co owner found out and blew a gasket and wont do anything more for Gwaltney, Gwaltney then blamed **********. Gwaltney told other people that’s why **** quit Operation Hope, cause he screwed up that deal,.. There is so many things, but you have to put them all together to see it, and the people left at his church now have been fed lies to get them to stay away from those who left, ask yourself why there aren’t any more mission trips? Because x amount of dollars were collected from each person to go on the trips, and the amount far exceeded the, ... lets say accommodations."-Source "You are right there, the 10 aren’t his, but the thing with him behind it, “agenda" is purely for money" Source (ok, so I'm a tad bit cynical.....it comes with being my age).

Well, a lot of places do that, (charge for tapes) to pay for the taping equipment and blank tapes, but others usually tape something they worked themselves, this guy will try to teach something from the TV preachers that was on the day before. Like the day he did something by Joyce Meyers, and I just saw it the day before!" -Source Well, well, well.....it would appear that Mr. Gwaltney has been a busy man. Incidentially, I found out today that he has resigned his church and is preaching his last service on Sunday. I don't plan to atttend. When asked where he's going I get responses such as, Missouri, Joyce Meyers has hired him, missionary work...etc. It's MY belief, and I'm not stating this as fact, but opinion, that he is going elsewhere to find another community to milk as a supposed man of God. I guess Shakespeare was right, even the devil can quote scripture to suit his needs. This just in: "He supposedly turned over the church to Eddie Brooks and Kenny Mayhal, they are the two people that have their names on the bank note... another $17,000 that terry didnt make payments on. I'm really wondering what they are thinking right now, .. Terry had them sign for the note so that (others, I don't wish to name at this time) name could come off of it, and Terry told them that even though they signed it , that they werent really responsible for it,... thats so stupid, what were they thinking???"-Source Source, I can tell you what they were thinking. They were thinking that a minister and friend was someone they could trust. Ministers are seen as people who can be trusted in our society. That's why one of the top "costumes" used for scams, abductions, etc is that of a Minister. Generally, no one checks out what a minister says, or verifies his background. They are correct in saying that a man of God would never do the things listed above. But just because someone SAYS they are a man of God doesn't mean that they really ARE. Our Community is blessed with many "men of God" both in the ministry and out. Gwaltney, in my opinion, isn't one of them. If anyone out there who reads this knows either Mr. Brooks or Mr. Mayhal, PLEASE advise them to contact an attorney before Gwaltney leaves town. It may already be too late, but they should still look into it.
