Alyson stepped out of the police station , a cigarette resting gently in her hand. Slowly she walked down the street trying to get it all to make sence. "It's all your fault." said a voice. She turned suddenly around to confront whoever had said this horrid thing. No one was there. "Get ahold of yourself Aly." she wispered , " No one's here it's just your imagination." She decided to stop talking to herself , the strange looks she got from the tourists and buisness people were not welcome ones. Alyson kept walking , past her house , past Jays house , all the way to the cliffs.
She use to go to the cliffs when she was little , they had always helpped her get her thoughts together. She needed the solitude of the cliffs now. Alyson sat on the edge letting her feet dangle down into the air. It was a clean 70 ft drop to the jagged rocks below. She would never jump. So many people had lost thier lives to the call of the ocean against the cliffs. She knew she would never let that happen to herself. "Why don't you just jump?" harpped the voice she had herd earlier. She glanced around but no one was there. "It's all your fault , your fault he's dead. You could have went to his house earlier. He wouldn't kill himself if he thought you would find him. It's all your fault." said the voice. " SHUT UP!" screamed Alyson covering her ears.
She knew it wasn't her fault. Maria . . . . Maria was to blame. If she hadn't reeled Jay in with her promises of love and happiness he would be alive. Maria was pure slime. "Yes", said the voice, "It is Maria's fault , your right." She realized she felt a seering pain in her fingers , she dropped the cigarette to the waters far below.
Her fingers burnt and blistering , Alyson reflected on what was happening. What was happening to her? She's hearing voices , Jay is dead , was Maria to blame truely? Yes , she thought finally. No matter what i would have done Jay would have killed himself. Maria left him broken. Maria ripped out his heart and trampled on it.Maria is to blame. Alyson loved Jay like a brother ; she mourned for him the same. Maria would pay for what she had done. Alyson knew Maria was poison and she didn't want anyone else to suffer as Jay did. She knew what had to be done.
