It was put on a postcard mailed to James J. Harrison by his father, "Rev" William Ringold Harrison. James was attending Hendrix College. Rev. Harrison was a circuit rider Methodist Minister serving several south Arkansas churches.
The sign on the building says that it is Dr. Gore Dentist Office.The man on the white horse with the deer is my fathers oldest brother.His name is William Nat "Bud" Jones.The man in the background on the white horse, is also my fathers brother. His name is George Anderson "Bub-O" Jones. The shot gun he is holding is a 10 gauge. I now own the gun. I bought it over 60 years ago from a man in De Queen.The dogs name was Dallas.The Other man in the background is Elisha Powell. I know nothing about him. If anyone knows him please fill me in. Rev. Harrison is the 4th. man. He also has a deer on his horse. I don't know who any of the people standing in the picture could be. From hearing my dad talk of their hunting habits I think these deer were probably taken out near where the De Queen Country Club is now located. Mr P.K.Holmes had the picture. His wife was the daughter of James Harrison and grandaughter of Rev. Harrison.
