January 30th: The festival day honoring Pax

Pax, the goddess of peace, is honored on this date. With Concordia and Salus, she represents the Triple Goddess, Fortuna. Each of our thoughts and actions today vibrate through the web that connects us to the universe and affects the fortunes of all. A good idea today would be to use the color blue, a cornucopia, and an olive branch as your focus objects. Peace begins with ourselves, so that will be the focus. Start by meditating to free your mind from any undue disturbance, guilt, and insecurity. Try working with Concordia; she requires harmony with others in every area of our lives—from getting along with our family to behaving in traffic. This is particularly difficult sometimes in contemporary society. Know this, however: All our acts vibrate along the web of life. Pray also to Salus, whose presence means health—health for ourselves, for our neighbors, and for the environment. In the end, today means being conscientious, courteous, and thoughtful; these are the clearest ways to peace.
