1993
Danny's return and his homemade kayak was the highlight of 1993. Having been to the BWCA many times before any of us, Danny guided us our first year flawlessly. His first return seven years later showed that time did not dull his memory- he guided us again!
The 30 inch fish was caught on the first day, and despite John's feverish attempt to usurp it, his best effort only rewarded him with a 28 inch northern.
Meanwhile, I caught a fish on my first cast from land (beating my personal record of two casts at Yellowstone Lake) which immediately led to everyone else with a pole in the water.
This was the first year at Adams Lake, which was much smaller than Alice, but would prove to be the Eagle Home of the BWCA.
