To my sweet Mike. Now I KNOW what love is.

My Love Is...

I dedicate this site to my one, true love: Michael G. Ranton.

Love Quotes

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... If God choose, I shall but love thee better after death." --Elizabeth Barrett Browning

"Love feels no burdens, thinks nothing of trouble, attempts what is above it's strength, pleads no excuse of impossibility. It is therefor able to undertake all things, and warrents them to take effect, where he who does not love would faint and lie down. Love is watchful and sleeping, slumbereth not. Though weary, it is not tired; though pressed, it is not straightened; thought alarmed, it is not confounded; but, as a lively flame and burning torch, it forces it's way upwards and securely passes all." --Thomas a Kempis

"A heart that loves is always young." --Greek proverb

"Love knows hidden paths." --German proverb

"There is no remedy for love, but to love more." --Henry David Thoreau

"Love, and a cough, cannot be hid." --George Herbert

"Love conquers all things. Let us, too, give in to Love." --Virgil

"It is never loving that empties the heart, nor giving that empties the purse." --Anonymous

"Now I know what love is." --Virgil

"To love is to place our happiness in the happiness of another." --Gottfried Willhelm von Leibnitz

"LOVE...the golden key that opens the palace of eternit." --John Milton

"I knew it was love, and I FELT it was glory." --Lord Byron

The Rose

Some say love, it is a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger
an endless, aching need.
I say love, it is a flower
and you it's only seed.

It's the heart, afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream, afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dying
that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong.
Just remember, in the winter
far beneath the bitter snow
lies the seed that with the sun's love
in the spring becomes
the rose.

This site, Mike, is my tribute to you, to us...to our love. I will forever be adding to it as my love for you only grows. Sometimes there will be works here that are my own, and sometimes not...as I often am not able to put my love into words...it is to great for words. Keep coming back...cause this is for you, my dearest.

Love always and forever,

Nikki
