(Belle's POV) (5 Days Later)
It was a warm summer day so I sat in Brian's gardens in his backyard, reading a book while Jakob ran around those plastic flowers that squirted water. Everything was so peaceful to me until he walked through the gate.
"Brian!" Jakob yelled smiling the same smile that was on Brian's face. I watched as Jakob ran over and hugged Brian's legs. It hurt me to see father and son so close to each other but didn't even know the bond they held together.
"Jakob, get off him," I demanded. Brian picked him up.
"Belle, I'm not proud of my initial reaction to your son, you don't have to rub it in my face,"
"I'm not rubbing it in your ugly face," He smiled again and walked over to me.
"Get ready, we're leaving in the morning,"
"Fine," I said taking Jakob from his arms.
(Next Morning)
Well at least he got us first class tickets. We were in a plane well on our way to Kentucky. Of course I was dreading it, but Brian and Jakob we having the time of their lives, making funny faces at people behind us.
"Stop that, you two are embarrassing me." They stuck their tounges out at me and carried on. I know his family will hate me, but I really don't care. I'll just have to get Mitch to agree to certain terms. I turned around to find Brian and Jakob laughing hysterically.
"Brian you are so childish," I said annoyed. Then Jakob jumped into my lap to look out the window. He looked, but then he yelled and jumped back.
"Is he afraid of heights?" Brian asked. I didn't dare look at him.
"Yeah" I answered.
"Come here Jakob," Brian said. Jakob climbed out of my lap and into Brian's. "Hey little man, I'm a little bit afraid of heights too,"
"A little?' I asked. He gave me a sarcastic smile. Then the captain announced that we would be landing soon, and instructed everyone to fasten their seat belts, and that he hoped the flight was pleasant. A few minutes later we out the plane and at the terminal collecting our luggage.
"Who's picking us up?" I asked.
"Kevin,"
"Oh my God, I haven't saw him in years."
"You haven't seen much of anybody in Kentucky in years," Brian said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't start with me Brian, anyway, there's Kevin," He got out of his car and walked over to us. "Hey Kevin!"
"Hey Belle," he said embracing me in a tight hug.
"How have you been?" he asked.
"All right, you?"
"I've been fine," he answered. I looked him over.
"Looks like Mr. Sexy has gotten sexier," I teased him. He laughed.
"And this must be Jakob," he said looking down at Jakob.
"Yes it is, Jakob, this is your cousin Kevin, Kevin this is Jakob,"
"Nice to meet you Kevin," Jakob said shaking his hand. Then Kevin looked at Jakob more closely, then at Brian, then Jakob again, and then Brian again. He looked at me with a puzzled look on his face.
"Can we go now, its kind of hot," I said. Kevin looked at me again strangely.
"Yeah, let's go," he said grabbing two suitcases. About 15 minutes later we arrived at Brian's house.
"Go get yourself and Jakob ready Belle, we're leaving in less than 30 minutes.
"To where?" I asked.
"To my parents' house, we're having a small family get together." I knew it wasn't going to be small, it was going to be a lot of people there.
"I'm not going, I want to stay with my parents. Me and Jakob will stay with them."
"No, we are going to dinner and you two will stay at my house Besides, Mitch won't be there, he's in England with his girlfriend,"
"Do you think I give a damn about where Mitch is or who he's with," I snapped back.
"Bad Attitude," Brian said.
