"Who is it?"
"Take a wild guess." I opened to door. Brian was there with Jakob by his side. I bent down and picked Jakob up and kissed him on the cheek.
"Hey baby,"
"Hey Mommy"
"What are you doing here, I thought you were spending time with Jakob?" I asked Brian. He stepped in and I closed the door.
"I am, he wanted to stop by and get some stuff from his room."
"Daddy, why don't you ever kiss Mommy? J.T.'s Mommy and Daddy kiss all the time." I looked at him in shock.
"Well baby, me and your daddy aren't together like J.T.'s Mommy and Dadddy."
"Belle, I don't think we should disappoint our son,"
"What-" He pulled me to him and simply kissed me. I pulled back.
"Stop it, what are you doing?" I whispered.
"Kissing you,"
"Well stop," he sighed and stepped back. "Jak, do you need help getting what ever you want from your room?"
"Nope"
"Okay, well go on up and get it," He nodded and ran up the stairs. "Brian, would you have a seat, we need to talk again." He sat down. "Okay, I have a proposal for you, would you accept, Jakob spending one week out of every month with you, and of course when we're there and on holidays.
"No, I don't like that,"
"Who cares weather you like it or not, I sure as hell don't!, it's the best we've come up with!"
"I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about our son, we both want him in our lives everyday, but that is not possible since you can't settle with just one woman!" I exploded.
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Nothing all right, just forget it," I said getting off the sofa. He jerked me back down.
"No, I won't forget it, tell me Belle."
"No,"
"I mean it Isabelle, tell me," I stayed quiet. "Is that why you left, you thought I was cheating on you or something?"
"Leave me alone!"
"I won't leave you alone until you answer me, so tell me because I'm not leaving until the words come out of your mouth,"
"You know why I left,"
"No, I don't!"
"I heard you on the phone, at our supposed to be wedding day, you told someone that I was clueless, that you'd be over there house, to make sure the bed fit two, and that you loved them!"
"You totally misunderstood me Belle,"
"Yeah right!"
"I was talking to my cousin, who lives in Paris, that I haven't saw in 3 years. She owns a hotel, I was making us a reservation there for our honeymoon, because I knew how much you wanted to go to Paris!"
"Do you expect me to believe that?"
"Why shouldn't you, it's the truth, I've never lied to you," I knew he was telling the truth, it was in his eyes, and he was right, he has never lied to me.
"But!"
"No buts, you ruined our future over nothing!"
"Well how was I supposed to know?"
"Daddy, I'm ready!" Jakob said running over to us.
"Come kiss Mommy before you leave," I said. He came over and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before attempting to pull Brian off the sofa,
"Don't think this is over Belle, it hasn't even started. I rolled my eyes.
"Its been over Brian,"
"Like I said," he replied.
"Whatever."
