As of today (7/26/00) the pictures on this page do not show up.  The pictures on the following pages do show up.  I can't seem to find these tonight, but when I do I will re-upload these so they show up.  I do apologize.

This dark path was once open land, exposing the legendary fort fremont to the Port Royal Sound.  Now it is a path, leading to the "Old Fort" as locals call it.  Once adorned with three 10-inch disappearing guns and two 4.7-inch rapid fire guns, it is not adorned with graffiti and "no trespassing" signs.

As you enter this path, you can see how deep the woods are here.  The brush is very thick,  but the path is well-worn, evidence that many people trespass here frequently.

The path forks in separate directions at different points along the way, but if you keep on a straight course, you will eventually come to this hill.  As you easily climb over the above-ground tree roots, you will be amazed by what awaits you on the other side.
