You have been travelling in a forest for days. That blasted girl from the cave! She knew you'd get lost! The forest is thick and confusing, and you are hoping to find somewhere to rest soon. You hear a giggle from behind you. Spinning around, you see the girl from the forest earlier, staring at you with an amused grin on her face. "You must be tired traveler," she says quietly, "for you have been travelling in circles for hours. I was wondering what took you so long." She giggles quietly at you, and then takes your hand, leading you to . . a clearing! Blessed gods! A small creature flies out at you.

"This is my featherdrake. His name is Darkfyre, from the Featherdrake Aeyries. He's a night featherdrake, so you're lucky to see him in the daytime at all! Night featherdrakes enhance their bondmate's (me) senses. That's how I knew you were coming. That and you were noisy.

Over there, in the nest, are my newest adoptees.  The hatchling is a Berry, named  Hawthorne. Berry featherdrakes have green thumbs (well, claws) and they help plants grow. I've had to cut the grass around that nest about five times a day since she hatched. The jungle's going to be much thicker soon! She's really cute, isn't she? The other egg is from Coal Bic and Bark Jerrin. It's only an egg, so I don't know what kind it is yet. Darkfyre is rather protective of Hawthorne. He thinks she's his, although he and Simeralia have a clutch of their own." She giggles again, and sees the look of interest on your face. "Would you like to go to the Aeries? Or perhaps you want to see some of my other pets . . "

No thanks, I'll go back home . .
Sure, I'll see your other critters!
Actually, the Aeries sounded kinda fun . .
