Storm 1000

Storm 1000

The Storm-1000 is a bit bigger than a XP-40 and a bit smaller than a XP-70.
It has a single pressurized reservoir, but as opposed to many other such guns it actually reliably fires downwards, as the water is sucked from the very bottom of the tank (while in smaller XPs (20,40) there is a piping coming from the front of the tank, going all the way back to its end and therefore often falling dry when you shoot downwards).
Its range is just a few inch more than that of the 40, but the water stream is a bit thicker.
It has the "photon-beam", which lights up the water when coming out of the gun.
This is a nice effect (even if it obviously can't light up the whole beam), but for those who are just looking for a supersoaker for "serious" waterfights, it probably isn't of much use, if it wasn't there the gun could have been smaller.
I also wasn't too impressed with the way the electrical installation inside looked like in the one gun I opened up, it looked a bit sloppy.
On the other hand the actual water-gun-mechanism looks like solid work.
