Who could forget the famous scene with Gene Kelly dancing around in a downpour, deliriously happy over his new-found love in Kathy Seldon? Singin' in the Rain is, without a doubt, one of the world's favourite movie musicals. I know it's one of mine. So when I heard that a production was to be staged for the first time here in Australia, I simply HAD to go! And I did. Twice in Sydney and twice in Melbourne. And I had another trip planned in January. Our own production stars the finest of Australian musical theatre talent -- Todd McKenney as Don Lockwood, the delightful Rachael Beck as Kathy Seldon and the hilarious Wayne Scott Kermond in Donald O'Connor's role, Cosmo Brown.
Reports for Sydney and Melbourne coming really soon! I promise! Singin' in the Rain Artwork
I hope you enjoy reading all my reports and looking at all my pictures! If YOU have a report of the show you've seen, and you'd like it put up, please e-mail me and I'll see what I can do about it. I'd love to hear your own views about it. In fact, feel free to send me absolutely anything about the show -- pictures, art, stories, reports, cast lists from another production you might have seen elsewhere...I need more sections to go up here, so anything that you want to send in would be greatly appreciated. Of course, you'll get full credit for anything you send in to me -- so send something, and I'll find somewhere in here to put it up! I need lots of things to put up here -- so send some stuff in!
