Mike has been playing the drums since fourth grade, and first became interested in percussion after watching his older brother Steve and Jim Foran play in the school band. During his seventh grade year, Mike purchased his first drum set and began to take drum lessons, and since then has made a significant progression in his drumming ability. Mike has become a contributing partner in Nameless, and plays a strong role, offering compelling rhythms and sounds, which can be considered the driving force of Nameless, along with Jacob's steady bassline. Mike has developed as an amateur-professional drummer- he has been in Jazz Band for three years now, played in the Jazz Combo at E.H.H.S. for the first time this year, and has performed often with the Nameless.
Mike's influences include Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlain, Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam (Mikes favorite band); and also Stu Slocum of the local
band TENET.
