Here are some verses on the assurance of forgiveness. They are all promises to hang on to if you are questioning if you are forgiven or if you have asked but don't yet "feel" forgiven.
Acts 10:42-44 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name." While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.
Acts 13:37-39 But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay. "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD "- and you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Isaiah 1:18; Ezekiel 36:26, 27 "Come now let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; God's promise is: "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." " A new heart also will I give you. . . . And I will put My Spirit within you."

Prayer
Thank You Lord that I will confess my transgressions to You and You will forgive the guilt of my sin. Thank You that thru Jesus Christ, though my sins are scarlet, Jesus can make then white as snow. Thank You that as I come to You and confess my sins, thru Jesus Christ I will be given a new heart, please put Your Spirit witin me. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
