MOON AND RIVER

Click on the above song title for a brief 30 minute or so preview of the single's unmastered brilliance.

Song written by Goggin, music by Boorman/Boorman/Goggin. Musically written in about April of last year in Somerset and then lyrically blemished in a hotel room in Dublin in August. Was very close to being the A-side. But we chickened out. It is, after all, a medieval waltz. Crossed with Nashville.

LYRICS

So what if your hands have grown big? Je t'adore
And I'm constantly warned of the threats I absorb
For wanting and trying, its not just me prying
Do you think of him more? Well if not, I'm appalled

So come on now.
So cutting the tension thats in our surroundings
I'll let it all go by the conifer tree
For love of you and whiskey.

You've seen what goes on and you know its a crime.
Am I ever on your mind? You're on mine all the time.
I'm fortunate though that there's heart in this so
If you want me to crawl, pass the buck, it is mine.

So come on now.
So cutting the tension thats in our surroundings
I'll let it all go by the conifer tree
For love of you and gin.

Trauma is anxious but moreish, ironic, moronic
Not heretic but my life rests on this
You stretch out your arm, and where's the harm? We are one.
And we know this at heart. Will it be good enough?

So come on now.
So cutting the tension thats in our surroundings
I'll let it all go by the conifer tree
For love of you is risky.
My love for you is risky.
My love for you and whiskey.
Oh, my love for you.
