little round andre, all poetic and funky, when was the last normal conversation you had? not that i'm complaining, just curious.
the silly little thrill at the reasonable price, will it survive this century? will the the computer generation change the world? or just wire it?

which is better?

what ever happened to sacred?
'nothing is sacred' has been the cry of free speachers for years, now, nothing sacred is allowed?

today, 51% of american's polled disagree with the american government's 'handling' of iraq.

when the wall came down, did we not cheer? why was there a wall? because they built it, silly!
that's not what i meant. apparently, 'communism' is scared of freedom of thought, and 'captialism' is scared of sharing of resources. gee... of course there is no, law in communism forbiding freedom on thought. and, did you know that 99% of human history, we existed in the form of simple communism? gathering and hunting societies, silly.
the truth of the matter is, i'd probably be happier, as long as my friends lived with me. i think we could do it, but everybody works, and we needs us some training, and some land, preferably drought free...
really, it's simple.
you work unless your broken, old, rather pregant, or too young. funny, it's like the army, everyone works, no one quits. anywho, the gatherers go get food and water that's veg and the hunters get meat. everyone gets an equal share, everyone does equal work, everyones happy!

don't worry, be happy.

that's the plan.

andre is poetic and funky...on of them crazy frye guys, dontcha know?

you have no idea how many times i've seriously considered starting some sort of hippy commune. often when the stresses of school and the mundane drudgery (go team redundant!) of everyday life get to me. i mean you spend all this time getting educated, and so much of it is just devoted to getting a job so you can make money. life shouldn't just be about surviving. i think i might get bored with hippy communist life though. and i wouldn't be able to afford a computer with internet, music....all that stuff. plus i don't think i'd make a particularly good hunter or gatherer. i do like the idea of small-scale communism though....where everybody's one big happy family.....maybe? i don't know

Okay, this is really annoying. I went around last night and commented on people's blogs and none of the comments are still there this morning. so either you hate me, or I'm not doing this right. The jist of my comment was that even though people lived in communes for pretty much all of human history up till now, they weren't happy hippy communes, they were dirty, violent holes where people barely had enough to eat and were lucky if they lived past 35. Communes are inefficient ways to produce stuff, and don't tend to function well with an uneducated self-interested populace. Having said that, we live in a country with lots to eat and are plenty altruistic, so if anyone can make it work, we can. Let's make ourselves a hippy commune this summer.
