Ingredients:

6-8 finely chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup tomatoe juice

3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves

1/2 to 1 bunch cilantro leaves, coarsely chopped

pinch of sugar

3-4 fresh green chiles (jalepeno or serrano), deseeded and chopped

1/2 to 1 tsp ground cumin

3-4 scallions

salt

 

Stir ingredients together in a bowl or blender/food processor.  Cover and chill in refrigerator until needed.

Serves 4-6
