Lesson 2: Preparing


At this point in time (now that you have your image/images) it's a good idea to get an idea as to what you want the finished product to look like.

*Whip out a pencil and draw a basic sketch of what you want the finished wall to look like. It's a good idea to write down any other information as well, such as the dimensions of the piece (1024 X 768 in this case) if you will need to re-scale the image(s) and any filters you intend to use. It may also be helpful to begin to write any fluff (if any) about the piece.

Remember that it don't have to be a piece of art. It's just for you to get an idea as to what the wall will look like.

Walls-For-Noobs

*Fluff is any background information including a storyline, history etc. An example is the detailed stuff that some of the MT'ers put in the descriptions of the piece including their feelings and emotions and the general messages conveyed by the piece.
