something wicked this way comes...
...and his name is the taxman. or, if you prefer, hillary clinton, al gore, dick gephardt, tom daschle, etc. it never fails to amaze me...despite all evidence in decided favor of the tax policies of, for example, reagan (that is, tax-cutting and moving down the laffer curve), liberals (who had to steal that name from the british liberal party in order to smudge the true definition of the term 'liberal') are still able to convince the Blind Faith Anointed that tax increases are the way to go.

Have you ever read or studied Macro Economics? While I agree that we all pay way too much in tax, cutting taxes in the name of economic stimulus is a poor way to go. Only the Federal Reserve has the means to effectively stimulate the economy and keep inflation in check (both per necessary for a healthy economy). They do this by way of increasing or reducing the money supply. Cutting taxes to foster economic growth is far too slow a process (thanks to all the bureaucratic red tape) to respond to the ever changing marketplace.
