Comrades,
This paper will include some
suggestions about the objectives, work, and attitude of communist students
towards several issues, which I suggest the new maktab should try to work
upon. These are ideas are debatable and are not final judgments.
Objectives:

Spread of the
political speech
-
Targeting social and
cultural issues
-
Participating in the
construction of new leftist trend
-
Expansion all over
Lebanon
-
Pressuring towards
the reconciliation of the PCL
Ways and attitudes to achieve
these objectives:
Objective 1: Spread of
the political speech
-
Writing communiqués and spreading them through newspapers and through
protests and campaigns
(e.g. No war No dictatorship
campaign)
-
Extending our work throughout universities (especially the Lebanese
university) and secondary schools, by having activities that
targets students and relates to their concerns.
-
Making use of all media coverage like TV interviews, newspapers,
indymedia, and some leftist publishing like “ Al yasari”, in
addition to improving the website.

Recruitment, and work more to
channel active friends towards communist students.
-
Making and participating in open forums and conferences that tackle
various political and social issues.
Objective 2: Targeting
social and cultural issues
-
Making a new social cultural organization that works seriously on
social issues that are least targeted in Lebanon.
-
Working with NGOs on campaigns and activities. (Social movement,
Arabic networks, Palestinian organizations, People’s Rights..)

Attempt at coordinating with leftist and democratic cultural and social
organizations, in spite of political conflicts or differences (such as
Direct Line cinema club, Almontada Althakafi, Nadi Lakel Alnass,
Boycott committee,..)

Participating in the cultural and artistic activities of “Almanbar Al
democtrati”, and encouraging interested communist students members to
be members in the cultural and artistic committees of “Al Manbar”
and “Majless Al thakafi al janoubi”
Objective 3:
Participating in the construction of New Leftist trend:

Participating in the formation and development of the new leftist
platform

Strengthening the relation with the independent leftist groups, and
start the work for the formation of new groups in Lebanese
university
-
Making regular debates with different leftist groups and
organization including PCL organizations
-
Making continuous leftist cultural discussions about the different forms
and trends in the world and throughout history
-
Define a clearer relationship with “Kiwa Alisla7 wal
Democratiyeh”, and representing the communist students with a clear
unified stand infront of the PCL opposition
-
Making of a central conference for communist students and their
friends as soon as possible to decide about the options to be taken
concerning the PCL 9th conference and
the future of the PCL.
Objective 4: Expansion
all over Lebanon
-
The different committees of the different regions should prepare for
discussions and mini-camps or workshops in the regions of
South, North, Mountain, Da7ia, Rmailieh, etc..
-
The committees of Beirut should help groups in the different regions to
form working programs (objectives and ways of communicating with
people) for these regions (based on the capabilities and needs).

Developing the idea of communist students groups in universities of
Nabatiyeh, Sidon, and North.
-
Encouraging the comrades in regions to write articles concerning their
regions and help them in publishing them in “Alyasari” and other media..
Objective 5: Pressuring
towards the reconciliation of the PCL
-
Formation of a wide conference with “Kiwa al Isla7 wal
Democratiyeh” to discuss the future visions about the PCL and the
probability of formation of a new party.

Continue the meetings with other PCL oppositions on the level of the youth
and leaders.

Having internal discussions all over Lebanon that come up with clear stand
with respect to the PCL 9th conference, and to define clear
steps in the communist students attitude towards this issue.
