The BOOGIEMAN a.k.a. Dave Dunklee has not only made a career
from being a musician but, also a lifestyle of it. For over four decades now
he has traveled the country not only sharing his talent but also teaching
others how to realize their full talent potential as well. Dave began his road in
the late 1960's as a teen playing with a band called the Satisfaction Machine.
The band rented city hall for $10.00 a night to provide a place on
most Saturday nights for live music and dancing. Dave was able to play
with several band over the years.; the Sugar Bears 1971-1974 ,
Touchstone 1974-1976 , Montage 1976-1978 , Swift Kick 1978-1982 ,
Bread and Butter Band 1982-1985 , Kansas City Street Band in 1986
and also played with Jon Lee Hooker in 1986. In 1987 Dave turned his
attention to teaching. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Washburn
University in 1975 specializing in vocal and instrumental instruction for
grades K-12 and went on to recieve his Masters Degree in Education
Administration in 1987 from the University of Missouri in 1987.Even
though he was busy teaching he still managed to make several special
apperances including the Playboy Club of Denver, the Silver Lake Polka
Band, and such names as Head East and Steve Miller. He was also the
opening act for the band Santana at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
In his illustrious carrer Dave has also played with such big names as
The Coasters, Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
Dave also conducted the U.S. Army Band at Fort Myer, Virginia during
