Phil Castro (Owner)

Phil Castro, Owner of the Havana War Pigs, has suprisingly been a sports fan for most of his adult life. Castro has attempted to purchase a number of sports teams over time his most successful being above, "The Havana Red Scare". The Red Scare, aside from being Capitalist Dog Propaganda attempting to smudge the pristine image of socialism, was a Baseball team which was by far the most popular in Cuba and was known world over as being lead by the best and brightest athletes of the island nation.

The Red Scare's greatest season in came a few short years after the teams creation in 1971, when in addition to its perfect record ( 4 years running ) the officials only recorded 5 player executions, a league best. The joy would be short-lived however when upon visiting the near-by nation of The Bahamas in an exhibition game against "The Nassau LobsterMen" the players under cover of night escaped their hotel requesting and being granted Asylum from the British Commonwealth.

With the disbanding of "The Red Scare" Castro would return to his fortress high above the white sands of Cuba and release the ominous dark cloud of his anger over the lands. For many years Castro's anger and rage would fill the streets of Havana and any who even muttered the mention of Baseball or The Havana Red Scare was shot on site. It wouldn't be till some years later when a close friend and aid of Castro braved the Tall Wooden doors of his Management Suite to reminded Castro the old love that he once enjoyed. No not American Football ... table tennis.
Thats right the man who as of late had been terrorize the kind good people of Cuba felt most at home at head of a Ping-Pong table within the confines of a Cigarette Smoke Filled Bingo Hall. Castro was happy and Cuba rejoiced.

It would be some time after that that Castro would return to the world of Team Management and look to open a new venture in the craze that was sweeping his country, American Football. Although Castro had an obvious hate for the country north of his nation, which waved its Penis shaped state in his general direction, he could not help but see that the entertainment of the game was something that was quite fetching.

He would, as we all know today, go forth before the GLB organization and demand, banging his shoe against the table, for reinstatement into the League and a home field in his native of Cuba. The GLB would go on to give Phil Castro what he asked for and Cuban sports was once again reborn in the image of The Havana War Pigs.

jAyjAy (Offensive Coordinator/GM)

Coming from the burbs of NYC, jAyjAy is an old time friend with All Star QB Ahmed Adoodie. When Adoodie went pro to the GLB organization he decided to make jAyjAy his agent because of his keen management skills. These days he manages Adoodie along with 4 other big time GLBers: Mad Dog Tannen (TE), Leggs Benedict (K), Ivan Adoodie (CB), and Kal-El (WR).

During the offseason, Adoodie and jAyjAy bumped into Phil Castro while enjoyin their vacation in Cuba smoking cigars and downing mojitos with a girl on each lap!  Castro liked their style and immediately negotiated with jAyjAy to sign Adoodie to the War Pigs.  Along with signing Adoodie, Castro decided to name jAyjAy the new offensive GM because he saw a little Castro in him.  Last season the GMs and Phil decided to do the unthinkable and broke Ahmed Adoodie's brother, Ivan, out of a prison in Columbia when he was wrongfully put in there and forced to play football under Columbian rules.

This coming season jAyjAy plans on helping his team make playoffs and also help his boys get some great endorsements!...and who knows what other shenanigans these guys will come up with in the future!

Jetfire (GM)

Raised on the mean streets of northern New Jersey, Jetfire was raised on football.  While trying to get a break with a local XFL team, he met who would become his first client, (CB) Trenton Fabulous (or T-Fab as he prefers to be called).  After causing the downfall of the XFL, T-Fab was exiled to Cuba, where he met with Phil Castro.  After hearing that Mr. Castro was forming a new GLB team, T-Fab placed a covert call to Jetfire, who got him a starting spot on the War Pigs.  Since the success of T-Fab, Jetfire has begun to branch out to other clients, starting with (DT) Longbow McQueen, also of the War Pigs.  With players such as these on the roster, a championship for the War Pigs looms just over the horizon.

Freek (GM)

Raised in the deepest, darkest woods in northern Kentucky, Freek became obsessed with football as a small child. Going so far as to manage a game between his two most "special" sheep. That love brought him out of the woods and into the city filled with self cleaning outhouses, candle-less lights and most importantly football. It is also where Freek meet his two greatest friends and soon to be players, Mongo and "Kung-Fu". From there the three tried out for a local football team, The Louisville Incestuals. From there the three bounced around from team to team Centering, Managing and Cheerleading (and eventually punting) until one day Freek got a call with an offer to move all three of them down to Havana for a decent salary and all the sheep he could...err...eat I guess. And the rest is team history.
