Alumnus is semi celeb!:
Our own Glenn Fuchs AKA Kid Kosher has begun blowing up around the Garden State. Aside from his performance at Jenkinson's December 13 he has appeared twice more since then. December 19, the first night of Hanukkah, Kid Kosher was on 101.5 during the Carton and Rossi Show hanging with the guys, freestyle rhyming and singing 2 of his original songs. Glenn also gave 2 shows for the Hebrew School at his Temple in Marlboro, NJ. You can read an article from last week's local paper about Glenn AKA Kid Kosher here:

FYI, the web link listed in the article for Kid Kosher is almost right. It's www.angelfire.com, NOT www.anglefire.com.

Hanover, Indiana…The College of New Jersey’s women’s and men’s cross country teams were both in action at the 2003 NCAA Division III National Championships at Hanover College on Saturday. The Lion women finished in ninth place in the team race, marking the program’s ninth straight Top 15 finish at the national championships. The Lion men finished in 12th place in the team race. Winning the women’s team title was Middlebury College (VT), which captured the crown for the third time in the last five years.

On the men’s side of things, Calvin College (MI) was the team champion with a score of 48 points, marking only the second time in NCAA Division III history that a team scored fewer than 50 points in a meet. North Central College (IL) scored 32 points to win the 1993 NCAA title. The title was the second for Calvin, which last won the championship in 2000.

The Knights had six all-Americans (top 35), marking another championship first. Calvin had its top six runners finish in the first 19 spots. The Lion women were led by senior Beth Vesey (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) who finished in 14th place in the team scoring and 23rd overall with a time of 22:39.6, which helped the Lion competitor pick up her first cross country All-America citation. Vesey, who is already an All-American in track (3,000m in 2001), is now a two-time All-American. On Friday night before the NCAA’s, she was named the 2003 NCAA Atlantic Region Runner of the Year after winning the regional crown the week before. Vesey, who is also the NJAC’s first ever three-time women’s cross country champion, wraps her stellar cross country career with her banner effort on Saturday.
