Alumnus is semi celeb!:
Our own Glenn Fuchs AKA Kid Kosher has begun blowing up around the Garden
State. Aside from his performance at Jenkinson's December 13 he has
appeared twice more since then. December 19, the first night of Hanukkah,
Kid Kosher was on 101.5 during the Carton and Rossi Show hanging with
the guys, freestyle rhyming and singing 2 of his original songs. Glenn
also gave 2 shows for the Hebrew School at his Temple in Marlboro, NJ.

Way late post about Nationals:
The College of New Jersey's men's and women's cross country teams competed
admirably at the NCAA Div III National meet in Hanover, Indiana this
past Saturday. The women placed a solid 9th, while the men bested their
national ranking by two places to finish twelfth. Beth Vesey claimed
All America honors for her 23rd place finish, as well as taking NCAA
Atlantic Regional Runner-of-the-Year award. Coach Tim Collins took the
Women's Atlantic Regional Coach-of-the-Year honors.

Hanover, Indiana
The College of New Jerseys womens
and mens cross country teams were both in action at the 2003 NCAA
Division III National Championships at Hanover College on Saturday.
The Lion women finished in ninth place in the team race, marking the
programs ninth straight Top 15 finish at the national championships.
The Lion men finished in 12th place in the team race. Winning the womens
team title was Middlebury College (VT), which captured the crown for
the third time in the last five years.
On the mens side of things, Calvin College (MI) was the team champion
with a score of 48 points, marking only the second time in NCAA Division
III history that a team scored fewer than 50 points in a meet. North
Central College (IL) scored 32 points to win the 1993 NCAA title. The
title was the second for Calvin, which last won the championship in
2000.
The Knights had six all-Americans (top 35), marking another championship
first. Calvin had its top six runners finish in the first 19 spots.
The Lion women were led by senior Beth Vesey (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) who
finished in 14th place in the team scoring and 23rd overall with a time
of 22:39.6, which helped the Lion competitor pick up her first cross
country All-America citation. Vesey, who is already an All-American
in track (3,000m in 2001), is now a two-time All-American. On Friday
night before the NCAAs, she was named the 2003 NCAA Atlantic Region
Runner of the Year after winning the regional crown the week before.
Vesey, who is also the NJACs first ever three-time womens
cross country champion, wraps her stellar cross country career with
her banner effort on Saturday.

The womens individual race was captured for the Wartburg Colleges
junior Missy Buttry who had a course record time of 20:00.2 to win the
2003 title and defend her national title. Leading the way for the Lions
was Vesey with her time of 22:39.6 for the 6,000 meter race in a field
of 213 runners. Senior Erin Cahill (Ewing, NJ/The Hun School) finished
in 48th place overall and 28th place in the team scoring with her time
of 23:15.7. Senior Lindsay Scarborough (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) picked
up a 94th place overall; and 60th place in the team scoring with a time
of 23:48.4. Sophomore Kara Horner (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) finished
in 89th place in the team scoring and 125th overall in 24:03.3, while
rookie Christine Nystrom (Skillman, NJ/Montgomery) was right behind
her in 90th in the team scoring and 126th overall in 24:04.6. Freshman
Jenna Fasulo (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) competed in
her first NCAAs as well and finished in 129th overall and 92nd
in the team scoring with a time of 24:08.8. Sophomore Jennifer Zucaro
(Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) was the last Lions runner at the NCAAs
and had a time of 24:33.7 to pick up 120th in the team scoring placement
and was 162nd overall.
TCNJs assistant coach, Tim Collins, who manages the Lions
distance runners, was named the 2003 Atlantic Regional Womens
Coach of the Year after helping the Lions to the NJAC and the NCAA Atlantic
Regional Womens Team championship titles.
Mens Race
The Lion men finished in 12th place with a score of 318, tying with
Willamette University. The Calvin men outdistance the 24-team field
with a score of 48 points, besting the University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point,
which had a score of 128 points.

The mens race 8,000 meter race was won by Josh Meon of Wartburg
College in 24:34.4. The Lion men were led by senior Brian Brach (Freehold,
NJ/Freehold) who posted a time of 26:08.2 to take 35th in the team scoring,
while finishing 49th overall. Right behind him in 36thin the team scoring
and 50th overall was the Lions junior Brian Donovan (East Brunswick,
NJ/East Brunswick) who had a time of 26:08.6. Senior Adrian Cline (Haddonfield,
NJ/Haddon Township) posted a time of 26:40.6 to take 69th place in the
team scoring and was 96th overall. Junior Joe Lacovara-Switzer (Egg
Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) took 77th place in the team
scoring and was 109th overall in 26:48.4, while junior Sean Lesniak
(Toms River, NJ/Toms River North), posted a time of 27:11.7 for the
race, taking 101 in the team scoring and 141st overall. In 116th in
the team scoring and 158th overall was junior Rob Barger (Voorhees,
NJ/Eastern Regional) in 27:23.1. Sophomore Greg Howe (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan)
posted a time of 27:45.3 and finished in 132nd in the team scoring and
was 175th overall in the field of 215 runners.
