Welcome to the home page of West Tennessee Drum Corps, Inc. The member corps have competited for the past few years in various circuits. The first corps competited in FDCI. Memphis Sound was born from a group of friends in the Memphis area with a dream to compete in major drum corps competition. After one season there, the corps directors decided to head in a different direction. Moving to the FDCA and VCL, the corps expanded. While the Division I corps only competed in the VCL circuit, 2 "feeder" corps were introduced into the two lower divisions of FDCA. At that time, known as the Memphis Sound "A", "B", and "C", corps, limited success was achieved by the two higher corps, while the "C" corps went on several winning streaks. In the third overall season of competition, the corps underwent name changes and focused entirely on FDCA competitions. The corps became Southern Sound, Dixie Pride, and Rebel Regiment. In this third season, Dixie Pride went on to win the FDCA Division III Championship. Last season, because of financial and organizational problems, the corps were forced to withdraw from the FDCA mid-season. Now, with an improved staff, a solid financial base, and a new parent organization, the corps are ready to roll!
