Commentary (5-22-04)
Well Well I have been thinking of writing one of these for a while now but I havent had the time to set down and write until today. It has been a long time as you can see almost a complete year since I have even put anything down on Paper. Just wanted to cover a few things and speak on a few subjects.
To start off I have been Tagging lately with Eric Steel, man this guy is awesome. I mean he bumps really good and works his ass off everytime out of the curtain. We have held the Tag Titles in WOW for a while now and work very well as a tagteam. We are now seeking to work as many places we can and get our name out there. By far this is the most fun I have had tagging since Myself and Shane Matthews was ripping things up about a year ago. Look for alot of big things to come in the future for the both of us and dont be surprised if you start seeing more of us together around the state and the whole east coast.
Nitro, I went to the first round tourney of XMCW last and seen a few of my old friends and was very pleased to get to set and chat with them Douglas and Spyder are great guys and can do nothing but give back tons to all the guys down there or anywhere the work. IT was a nice locker room there too quite and layed back with the new set it gave a whole new look to everything and a great feel also. Rictor is getting better and better everytime I see him work. He is a good guy has a great attitude and respect for everyone around him. Maybe I will get to see some more of there shows from time to time who knows.
Now in closing I would love to say that I feel WV wrestling can be so great if people would just work together Douglas has some great idea and views on things and I would love to see it happen or even get closer to happening than it is right now. I have always been told you dont have to love someone to work with them and have a good show because its your job. I have a new outlook on wrestling since I have started tagging with Eric Steel and see I have more to give and learn to and from the business than I have always believed and with saying that. I would do anything to help Douglas, Spyder, whoever lets make wrestling better here in WV .
Until next time or next Year take care...... Gordy
COMMENTARY (6-01-03)
Holy Sh*t it has been almost a complete year since I wrote one of these things. So I thought I would just write a few words to sum things up as of late.
First off wrestling has had alot of changes lately around the area and seems to be striving for the better it just seems since APW left Oak HIll things went down hill from there, Not saying MSWA wasnt fun and had great show because it was and di have great shows but it just seemed short lived but we dont want to talk about that, so now to speed things up a bit things are starting to move along better and people are taking steps to make the wrestling scene a fun place to work these days.
As for working in Nitro for XMCW it was fun and we had a great run there with the angle. I still get chills when I think of the night we setup the deal with Vega and Shane Matthews and Myself, it was just one of those nights the you can't hear anything and a cloud just surrounds the ring. I really enjoyed those saturday nights in Nitro, Someday I may return to Nitro who knows, but as for now I am starting to work for a new company running in Oak Hill IPW seems to be an alright company to work for just have to wait and see how things play out.
I read something Brian Douglas wrote in a commentary a few weeks back and it amazed me when I thought about what he said and then it sunk in. It is like a special little world we have the chance to be a part of and either way we need to take care of it. I think alot of guys these days dont realize what they have in front of them when it comes to this business. It is special in many different ways and many many people live through others just watching the performance that one night in such in such school, gym, rec center, etc.
In closing this terrible commentary I say this always remember every conversation you have with anyone in this business because no matter if you like or dislike the person talking you can learn a very important lesson on the subject at hand. God knows I have learned plenty good and bad. Take care ,, Gordy
Not So Weekly Commentary, (LOL) (06-26-02)
Hello Everyone, as you can tell it has been a while since I have been on here and had anything to write about. Therefore tells you what my wrestling schedule has been lately. I have worked for MSWA (Mid South Wrestling Alliance) and a Wrestlers of West Virginia show in Cabin Creek, WV a few weeks ago but that is about it. Not much wrestling going on down this way other than BRW in Princeton which has a good mix of talent and alot of knowledge in the locker room hopefully one day I will get the opportunity to go up there and check the show out with my new job permitting. I do miss wrestling but the time off was well needed considering the new employment as well as time to just relax. I am looking forward to the shows ahead for MSWA in Oak Hill it seems to have alot of promise and good quality to take the Indy Scene in WV by storm...
Other Thoughts:
WWE Congrats, to Jaime Knoble on his Cruiserweight Title Victory. Lets just hope he stays on top for a while and is used properly. NWA/TNA, God it is good to see Frank Parker on TV he deserves it. He has busted his ass for years I would like to see him get more than just a 2 minute match hopefully the future will bring more of Frank in the NWA.
NWA/TNA, Lose the women, my god they stunk the whole frigging show up this week, for goodness sakes I hope they realized they suck and all that shit was alot of the downfall of WCW in its final days. A good shot of TNA from time to time is ok but they just kept going back to another frigging chick this week give it a rest and let the show sale itself for what it is Wrestling.
A.J. Styles and Jerry Lynn Amazing.
Well I know it is all bullshit I wrote but oh well it passed my time. Until next week, month, or year Later

Weekly Commentary (04-26-02)
Hello again everyone. I thought I would write a little bit since I am up at 4 in the morning and can't seem to get any sleep. Just a recap of this past week.
To get things started I am going to talk about this past Tuesday in Oak Hill, WV for APW. I once again proved to everyone that I am the best BIG MAN in APW after beating the hell out of Scotty Blaze once again. People say that if it wasn't for my manager and Scatty's wife that I would've never pinned him. Well for all of you who think that oh well a win is a win and that is two up on the self proclaimed New Sensation of APW. Then after the match he asked for another ass kicking in two weeks. Does this guy even have a brain and to top things off he added a stipulation that if he wins and I assure you all he will not he gets 5 minutes alone with his wife Erotica D'vine in the ring. My god I must have knocked him straight to dream street thats never going to happen.
The match was great I thought it was very solid and from the looks of things on APWwv.com weekly poll it seemed to catch the fans eyes as one of the better matches of the card.
I would like to say since I have been working for APW I have grown to want to learn even more and keep getting better. I think I have came a long way since starting to work for them. My in ring work has improved greatly with my learning more and more of the business I love. As for learning who couldn't learn in that locker room there is so much talent and years in the business.
So i guess that does it for this time. I will be in Marmet, WV Tonight at 7:30p.m. at the George Buckley center for Wrestlers of West Virginia so some on out and catch some wrasslin. Unitl next time take. Big Daddy Gordy _______________________________________________________
Weekly Comentary (04-22-02)
Well I think it is time to write a little. I really don't have much to talk about other than Scotty Blaze being OLD and his BIG nose, LOL but this time is going to be a little different as in taking the time and thinking about what I am going to say or write so to speak.
By now everyone has heard or read that a Legend of wrestling has passed. Thats right I am going to talk about Wahoo. He was a great man, not only as a wrestler but a person. When I found out I couldn't believe it. I just set there and looked blank, shocked you could say. It had been a while since I had seen him. One of the only three times I actually met him and talked. He would always talk about fishing with me. He loved fishing as much as wrestling. I just enjoyed the time setting and having a conversation with him so much to learn there is no way you could catch it all in a few conversations.
So this to Wahoo, everytime I take or give a chop I will think of the Chief.. Everytime I have a fishing pole in my hand I will think of the Chief and every wrestling show I go to he will be in the back of my mind alongside a long list of friends and legends before him. This to anyone that reads charish your friendships to no end and stand beside them in need, as when they come to past your life shall be to the fullest and not stop suddenly and you find yourself alone.
In closing Scotty Blaze I hope you are prepared come Tuesday because the Tomahawk will be waiting for you LOL, Atleast one for the Chief. Unitl next time take care and remember your great friends out there. Big Daddy.
Weekly Commentary (04-05-02)
Ok I felt like writing today so I thought a commentary would be good since I have nothing else to pass the time and some people need new reading input..Just a warning before things get started I am in a pretty bad mood and things may get a little heated a times but I am not writing this to please no one but my self so here goes.
To start things off I would like to talk about the 26th of March for a moment or so. Scotty Blaze my god I can't even stand to write his name. You my friend have open the eyes of a monster, as god as my witness I will not stop until I end your career. That is my goal to completely destroy you. First thing you call my new manger Erotica D'Vine a Tramp and expect me to just stand there and let you by with it. Then you try to bust my knee which you almost done the job. After that you come out and stuck your BIG nose in where it didn't belong and tried to take my head off with a steel chair. Who in the hell do you think you are? I have already proven twice who the best Big Man in APW is but you still keep trying to stick your BIG nose in my business. Well Mr. New Sensation the orders from my manager Erotica D'Vine is the next time I see you is to destroy, end, finish, your career once and for all.
Now I have a few other things on my mind. I have ranted about this shit in the past but it seems every week something else or a different type of shit starts. I think it may be a never ending story but who knows. The wrestling business has been around for ages and will be around long after I am gone and everyone that is around right now so the future is for the business but somethings never change. What I am getting to is when I started training in 1995/1996 I got the chance of a life time a dream as a little kid to do what I watched every saturday and sunday with my Grandmother God rest her soul. The first day I knew I loved it not just to do it but everything about it, I was hooked. Every chance I got I worked out every show I could catch I would go to just to learn more. Truthfully I have learned a ton just in the last few months. You never stop learning and it never stops being fun and if it ever does then you better find the fun or it is down hill from there. I admit Danny Ray has been a great teacher and mentor. He always finds something new to show you or go over but he hasn't taught me everything you learn just from a conversation or a story you overhear in the back, a one on one conversation with some one or just watching a match on film or on the monitor. Now you have young guys come in the locker room all pissy and full of attitude. I am not pointing fingers just speaking facts so if it touches you then think about it are being an ass or crybaby, don't blame me look in the mirror...... So if you do want to say I am an ass well thats fine too but did I twist your arm to come read this commentary. I didn't think so.
To end this terrible and long winded commentary I say this. Remember where you started and how you got started. Show your respects to the veterans in the locker rooms listen to them and you will learn. The quest is never finished you will always find a new road to follow and a different story to tell.
Until Next time I hope you enjoyed and if not well I am not sorry..........Big Daddy

Weekly Commentary (03-13-01)
Alright I know it hasn't been but 3 days since my last one but I wanted to go ahead and through another one at you. So just set back and enjoy the read or if not click the X at the top of the screen and don't bother. Ok now that we have gotten that out of the way we can get straight to business.
To start things this week I would like to say it was a pleasure beating the Hell out of Scotty Blaze in Oak Hill, WV last night for APW as he and everyone else found out who the best Big Man in APW is and that I would be the partner of Scotty Mckeever. When it was all said and done Scotty Blaze was handed a little of his own medicine with a power bomb from the second rope form yours truely. Just to get things straight Mr. Blaze things are far from over between us I and my new found Manager can tell you. So I would always be looking over my shoulder Mr. Blaze because soon enough everyone will find out just who is the best Big Man in APW.
Now just a little bit of a touch on a subject that has been on my mind for a few days. People these days talk about respect and disrespect in this business well the respect comes time and time again, day in and day out it shouldn't change. If you are an asshole well there you go but if you show respect then you get it. Plain and simple. In one since or the other you still get it. Just for an example. If you have 5 years in this business and someone else has 15 or 20 years in well that person is the veteran so you show your respect don't wait for him to show you because to get respect you earn it. You shouldn't just get it. When I was brought in to this business I was told you show respect consider the sources you have the chance to set down and learn from just if it is simple you will learn from it. Dont get some big damn chip on your shoulder because you have had a few matches and think you should be treated like a king. Learn listen and respect the lesson you learn from the elder person beside you. Then you can say shit what a conversation or work out I just had with (whoever) and use it to make you better. But if you treat it like shit and don't try to listen or just walk off well where will you be in a week or month, at home saying shit why am I setting here on my couch when I could be in Oak Hill or where ever you may work............Simple stuff think about it.........
Well that about wraps it up for this week. If you dont get another one of these for a while don't be surprised. Big Daddy Gordy
_______________________________________________________ Weekly or Monthly Commentary (03-10-02)
Ok it has came to my attention that I have been slacking on my commentaries, and that is true I guess I have been a little busy the past few weeks. Now to what I have been busy doing is a total commentary to its self and we will leave that for another day.
Now lets start off with a few recaps of things that has been going on the past few weeks. Bookings have been plenty here lately I have been working tw and three shots a week for several organizations such as APW, PCW, WOW those are the main three. Apw on the 26th of Feb. I worked JV Insanity, decent match I know I can do better and have been working hard to step up and take the time to change things to make me a better worker. Then I have worked a couple of shots for PCW a group out of Huntington. Both times I tagged with my old friend and normal tag partner Psycho against Tommy Gibson and Sonny Landell both were good matches that brought me back to perspective on things that I had lost including the ability to have fun and enjoy the time in the ring. Also for WOW Wrestlers of West Virginia I have worked Joey Nelson the Last few time I have had the chance to worked for them. To Joey Nelson last night we had the best match of our series of matches for this company it just fell together great. I have to say the best match of the card the crowd was with every punch. Unfortunatly I hurt my elbow in the match seems to be swelling yet. I am going to get it checked out again this week to find out if there is very much damage. The doctors say just to ice it down and make sure to keep it as loose as possible. Most likely it was just stretched alittle too much.
Lastly I would like to talk about a show I worked in Chapmanville, WV friday night. It was great the people in Chapmanville act like they haven't seen wrestling in years and were frothing at the mouth for another chance to see it. I tip my hat to Danny Ray for helping make all this happen he worked hand and hand with the people to get the ball rolling and it was a great thing to walk out there and see those peoplejust so happy to have it in there town.
Well MR Blaze there you go now I just need one more to catch back up to ya. Hopefully this week I will be able to accomplish that. That is all for now so lets just see how many people really read this thing. Later Big Daddy G

Weekly Commentary (02-11-02)
Hello Everyone. It has come time to give you people a few things to read. I am just going to recap the past few weeks for you.
First things first this month has been pretty busy for the big man I have had alot of bookings and more than usual coming. I have been working alot of spots shows for APW here of late in Gilbert and Smithers. Smithers was a great show the crowd was outstanding. I worked Joey Nelson AKA (Chance Prophet) both nights and we seemed to work well together both nights, Joey works hard and seems to be getting much better. I enjoy working with him he seems to be right there with every thought. Then Tuesday the 5th of Feb. I got the chance I have been waiting for and that was to work ADR in Oak Hill. Danny Ray helped me getting in this business and has been a great mentor the whole way. We had a good match with no problem what so ever. The match consisted of me beating the hell out of him until something snapped and he hit his swinging neck breaker but thanks to the New Wrecking Crew he never got the pin. As for APW I can't wait to see what the future brings they seem to be picking up the pace even more these days and always have the fans excited.
Also this month I have been working for WOW Wrestlers Of West Virginia. These guy usually run show in Racine and Marmet WV and surrounding areas. This past weekend they had a Shows in Racine where I faced off against Joey Nelson once again this time told a different story he hit me with a pair of Brass Knucks (Literally) and stole the win. These crowds are very hot and into every match just ask Shane Matthews, Ha Ha funny stuff.
This coming weekend I will be working for a new organization from Huntington PCW with my other traveling partner, Psycho can't wait it has been a while since we have been out there together, should be fun.
That should about wrap things up for this week hope you all find time to read this and sign the Guestbook I always love feedback. As for Scotty Blaze here is mine now how about an installment of Turning up the Heat.LOL. Just a thought.... Until the next round. Later. Big Daddy

Weekly Commentary (01-25-02)
Hello Again Everyone, It has been a while since I have been on here and I would like to say I am sorry but it seems I only find the time to write on this thing when it is about 5:00 in the morning and I am bored out of my mind. I haven't really been doing much lately except riding up to Oak Hill with Danny Ray to catch the APW shows. Let me add they have had some really good stuff the past few times I have been up there and it is just a great time to go up and talk to the guys. As for wrestling it seems to not be that busy for me lately but you will have that. I had a chance to go to Ohio this past week with a good friend of mine, Lance Ericson but had to cancel due to Illness, I have been sick for a few weeks and had forced myself to go to the doctor. Time will tell if they can help me it seems not just one medicine can help you anymore they have to put you on about 6 different ones, it is a shame. Just more money if you ask me.
Well now on to some wrestling I guess, I will be going to Marmet today to watch some fellow workers work for a company in the area I think it is WOWV wrestler of west virginia. Danny Ray, Shane Matthews,Scott Mccomas,Rain, and Chris Vega will be on the card as far as I can tell right now. The crowds are usually pretty good for these guys and I just enjoy watching guys like Danny,Shane, and Mccomas work they are great. I hope they have a great turn out and good crowd to work with. I worked for this company once before in Racine, and they drew a pretty good house there. As far as upcoming show for me I only know of a few here and there and one of those is for APW in Smithers, WV I will be taking on Joey Nelson. The show is Feb. 2nd and bell time is 7:30.
To end a bunch of words that is just flying from the top of my mind I would like to talk about a few things around me and voice an opion. I have read Joey Mortons Commentary and Danny Rays they both have great meaning and words of wisdom. Respect in this business comes with years and hard work. Now a days they are people getting in just to have fun or they think it is cool well they don't or never will understand. Then you have people say why don't they show me respect, well if you have to ask then you probably had your head so far up your ass you didn't see it or just don't understand. The thing is you should never ask for respect just let it arrive and truely you will know when it does. Asking for respect is more disrespect not getting any and sooner or later there is no respect at all.
I hope I didn't bore anyone and if I did Oh Well you still read this damn thing..........Gordy

Weekly Commentary (12-26-01)
Hello Again, it is the Big guy with a commentary that maybe have no meaning at all. I have been going through some rough times lately and this time of year is just too much for me. I hate christmas I know everyone is thinking well he is a scrouge. Well let me explain a little I think it is great but I dred seeing it come because in the past few years I have lost someone or something very close to my heart, and this year didn't change the rotation. I lost my Great Grandmother. She was a great person and loved her family but had become ill and was ready to take her trip or journey as some would call it. I just pray that she is in a better place but with know doubt in my mind I know she sets upstairs and looks down on her family with a smile.
Now on to a little bit of wrestling. Two weeks ago WPW returned to logan at the Veterans building for Christmas Chaos. This show had great potential to be a barn burner and at some points shined over with great matches. My match was one that I will never forget for a while. Sometimes you have these matches in your time and this was one. I was in a tag match with Bane and we faced off against Tommy Gibson and Sunny Landell this guy has grown into a great worker since he started. I had the pleasure to work with him a couple years ago in South Carolina in his first ever match and let me say he has turned the dial and suceeded in his training and rings skill. It is always an honor to be in the ring with Tommy we just click when we are in there. I felt good with the match, my mind was there and it all fell together great until Tommy was injured pretty bad from a slingshot leg drop that done damage to his eye socket and cheek and jaw, sad to say Tommy will be out for sometime and will be missed until his return. Our prayer is with him and his family as he wades through this tough time.
Then as if nothing worse could happen the ring broke in the mainevent but as WPW strive to fullfill the wants of the crowd the match continued and the crowd left very pleased.
As the night ended and the day was over the feeling that WPW may be a large player in the Indy Promotion Scene in 2002 with the great base format in Logan and starting to venture throught out the surrounding areas of the territories it used to run regular in the past. All I can say is if you like wrestling and want to see something different keep a check on the WPW upcoming events because you never know what might happen.
Before I end this commentary I would like to mention finally Big Daddy is going to return to North Carolina on Jan. 19th, 2002 keep checking back for more info on that show. I am looking forward to this show and the time in North Carolina it is just a great trip and the raod fills your mind and heart with freedom a time of relaxation...... I can't wait. So until next time don't forget to sign the guest book and leave any feedback you like...........Big Daddy

Weekly Commentary (11-29-01)
Hello again everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. I don't have alot to talk about this time just a few things.
First the show at Oak Hill tuesday was pretty good, I worked Gary Neumonic, the match was o.k. and told a small story you can say. I was pleased just to be working. Gary is a hard working guy and just needs to polish some of his in ring skills and stop worrying so much about screwing up. He just needs to calm down and do it, he knows the basics on what to do but gets so nervous before the match. He listens real well but his nerves gets to him. The match in my eyes was good or solid as you would say, Thank you Gary it was a pleasure.
Early this week I read a commentary that had some harsh things to say about a subject and I was kinda lost on it until Tuesday. I just don't understand things sometimes until I see them for myself, Joseph I understand brother.
One last thing I had a show scheduled for Dec. 7th in Chapmanville WV but for a reason of my choice alone the show was cancelled. I know how I was brought in the business and I respect that alone so it was better to just drop the complete deal and swollow some opposites of choice and let it be. A few people around me know the deal and I just want to let it go because it is not worth the loss of friendships. Poeple have different thoughts and feelings about things and that is that, I respect that and I hope they respect mine.
This life brings sorrow and happiness to all and this month has been full of both. For the most part I just wish some things could change for the better and some things stay at the peak of things, as for the future of my life I just remember yesterday and think of the next but live soly for today...... Until Next time Have a Big Day,,,,,,,,,,Gordy

Weekly Commentary (11-18-01)
Hello Once again everyone, it has been a while since I have had anything to talk about. So thought I would speak about a few things.
First things first this weekend has been pretty full Friday night I worked for APW in Gilbert, WV and had a great time. The match was good and I had fun in the ring. It has been a little while since the fun had been there and I needed it. Alot of things has not been going my way so the turn of events this weekend help greatly.
The Saturday in Oak Hill, WV also for APW. This show was a fundraiser for the WTC and American Red Cross. The show was thumbs up for the factor of the fund raiser. On to my match, which was a tag siding me with uh Gary Nuemonic I really don't know the spelling of his last name against 2 tons of fun. I had a o.k. time in this match but there was something missing, oh well you have those things sometimes.............
Lastly I would like to talk about honesty. This word is hard to come by in the wrestling world. Alot of people confuse this with loyalty they are two different origins. Honesty is straight forward and pull no punches if it sucks it sucks and that is what should be told. With this comes respect and that is where you hear the truth which I am referring to Honesty and you respect that and work to make it better. I woud much rather know the truth than hear a lie and know myself it is just to savior someones pride. With saying this I give Scotty Blaze a thumbs up on his latest commentary. I respect Scotty and he speaks honest words, just now if he could receive some respect.............
That is all for now just remember if you can't respect yourself first how in the Hell can say you respect someone else...........Big Daddy
_______________________________________________________ Weekly Commentary (10-19-01)
Hi Again Everyone, this is a quick return for another installment of words from the Big Man. I just have been busy the past few weeks and haven't received the chance to write on here but this week has been slightly comforting.
So now on to the commentary at hand. I had a good week so you could say. Usually on Tuesdays I have been tied up with JV football games for the past 6 weeks, but this week was our week off and I had the honor of going to Oak Hill with Danny Ray. Which turned out pretty good. I was just along for the ride and to catch the APW show and they had a few guys that couldn't make the trip so I had the opportunity to work a tag match. I tagged up with Johnny Blast which is a complete super guy and great talent in the ring anyone could learn a great deal from this man. We faced off against Pedro Martinez and Shane "Superstar" Matthews. Pedro is also another great guy and truely respectful worker along side the young and over matured Matthews this kid must atleast in the 7th grade, Ha Ha smiles. Just Kidding. He has a great mind for the business and a damn good worker. I think the match went really well except for Johnny and myself getting the lose. Which was absolutley wrong they cheated. It took both of them to get the pin. I am sorry it just upsets me to lose. Great match overall even the two dropkicks I took off the top rope. To everyone that was involved in the match Thank You it was an honor to be in the ring with you.
Now on to the next coming weeks I think I will be in Ceredo Kenova on the 27th which is Saturday and possibly making a few trips to Indiana in the next few weeks as well those still need to be finalized.... Then in December I am working an a few things with the Chapmanville Police Department for a Toy's for tots show before Christmas. Remember everyone needs to take a little time for the underprivaledged from time to time so I feel that this way we all can give something back to our community................All for now but keep a checking back for more details in the future on Upcoming events in the area... Big Daddy

Weekly Commentary (10-13-01)
Hello Everyone, I haven't had alot to talk about in the past few weeks. So today I have a few things to say about the show in Chapmanville last week and happenings along through the week.
Lets just go right in to this this commentary. The Apple Butter Festival show was great the crowd was really good and the complete show went smoothly. I had a good match with Joe Brody, this man is a great person in and out of the ring I have great respect for him. The match was a little slow and slugish but that was my fault, I had some medical problems early in the week and was just recovering so I was pleased with the showing. I have to tip my hat to Danny Ray aswell he just great I love him to death and he will always be there for you with great advisement.Over all the show went perfect and the Chapmanville crowd was very pleased.
Now on to other things that is bothering me . This business is cut throat and back stabbing in one since of ways but there is bullshit going on these days that is absolutley terrible. Independent Wrestling, Read it again if you don't understand it is Independent. That is the bottom line. No contracts or clauses to figure territories that is fact and you work for who you can that is the point of Indy wrestling not where and who and you need not choose who someone else works for. This is just crazy and upsetting. Which product is better does it matter no as long as the work rate is just as good for either portion then take it as that.
No one more thing, I have had this on my mind for a while and just need to vent. You have a friend and this friend like to Rib you alot and a rib is a rib no matter the contents so you take with smiles, It is very funny at times, but sometimes it goes to deep, but as a friend the simple it was a rib should smooth it over and proceed into smiles, but this is not the case it has come down to bullshit. In this world you have few friend and even less best friends, actually I have very few and to this friend I say once more it was a rib. Leave it at that, if this friend of mine can't swallow the big chunck of pride then I guess I wasn't the friend to him that I feel he is still to me.
I would like to send my thought and prayers out to the family of Gentlmen Chris Adams a great lose to the wrestling world.
As war has proclaimed the minds of our country and the hearts of our men fighting for this country just pray to have sofe keeping and not lose of many lives in the future for our troops.
For now that is all and hope to see everyone at our next show.
Big Daddy Gordy

Hello Everyone, It is the Big Man with another installment this week. I have a few things to address this time around. I worked this past Tuesday for APW in Oak Hill. Great crowd response after a month of due to the flooding in there area.
Now first off I would like to talk about the match I had. It was a good match I was working with the War Machine, someone I have wanted to get in the ring with since I started. This man is outstanding in the ring. I enjoyed every minute of the match. Myself on the other hand was very rusty and missed a couple of things but he was right there to cover for me. It had been a while since I had been in the ring and the heat was also a factor but no reason I should have been right there, but as I have said in the past you learn from every mistake and when working with the War Machine it is like a classroom. Thanks to the War Machine it was an Honor to have the chance to work with him.
I also met Cheif Black Eagle what a legend in the sport just the few moments I had with him was an education and I hope he comes back around more often in order to let us reflect on his stay in the business.
One last thing for all you WPW fans in the area it is looking to be a full schedule in the next couple of months mostly September, but also we have the big yearly show in Chapmanville, The Applebutter Festival. Looking to be a great string of shows in the coming weeks so don't miss out on some great wrestling action in the area. Keep Checking back for more updates on the locations and dates for the shows.
Well everyone I have drawn a blank for now but I will post more as it comes to mind, until next time,Stay Big ,, Big Daddy Gordy

Weekly Commentary (07-27-01)
Hello Again Everyone. It is me with a small installment this week. I have just been working out about two dats a week with the student at Stretchers Wrestling Academy in Ceredo and waiting for APW to get back on track we all know the people in Oak Hill comes first lets pray the all can overcome this mess..
Now on to my weekly thing I love doing these commentaries they give me time to reflect on things so this week is just more less a time to strive for the posative aspect of the complete dream of being in this business.. So I found a little poem that may help in doing that.
When things go wrong, as they somtimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit
Life is queer with twist and turns, Everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don't give up thoughthe pace seems slow, You may suceed with another blow,
Success is failureturned inside out, The silver tintof the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit.

Everyone I can promise I have heard this hundreds of times but not in the same words and things like this just keeps me striving to do better and I thought I would pass it on to those of you who read this page because it is not only for me but for those who watch and listen to me that makes me the kind of guy I shall stand up and be proud of today........ Until next time stay safe out there and keep coming back Gordy

Hello everyone!!!!! It is the Big Man with a little installment of words for everyone.
The past few week I have been down and had nothing to write about until today and let me tell I had a blast today. I went to visit a friend in Huntington well Ceredo Kenova and he Has a gym where he has started training and working with some young local guys. Tyson invited me down to visit and speak with these guys so I said talk about wrestling sure not a problem. When I showed up I was greeted by non other than Matt great guy he is a super kid well in between kid and grown young man. I figured you know One week training o.k. these guy have arm bar, headlock, and bumps down to a solid work but I was surprised these guys shocked the hell out of me I mean they really did. Solid all around some workbut really advanced in my part for some of them and alot of hard work and training for the others but all in good time they will be o.k.
Now the true reason for this commentary is for a good friend of mine that I have know for about 3 or 4 years as I said earlier Matt greeted me at the door. Total respect always from this young worker he is great. I met him for the first time at a show in ceredo where he and a friend was doing a special match just for there hometown they I think well way young guys not going to mention any ages but it was a couple of years ago. Great talent hard workers and heart of a lion this kid never gives up always thinks. When this guy watches wrestling he studies from begining to end always poised to learn more. Truely this kid is the future of wrestling as we know it. Now he is training full time at Boogies Wrestling Camp and should graduate in September. I wish him the best of luck in his dream because it is going to be a long road map for someone to follow behind this young man if you know what I mean. Matt you are a good friend to me and I hope I can do the best by you son this commentary is just for you and to all that read this in years to you will know this young man very well on the wrestling circuit somewhere.
To all think about what you look for in life and if you dream don't give up try hard and remember a dream can be reached. Living proof of dreams are out there just sometime you may have to look harder than others I was a dream chaser and today I live that dream everytime I put those boots on and so can you.
So that is it pretty much for this one I was just wanting to say a little bit about my friend Matt and I think I completed that task......To everyone remember a dream and take to the fullest atribute of your style. Big Daddy Gordy _______________________________________________________

Hello Again!!! It is the BIG Guy with a little to say this week not much. It has been a whil since I wrote a commentary and that is because I have not had much to write about. I thought since it had been so long that I would atleast write about something.
Well here goes...... I have just been setting around these past few weeks with nothing to due but odd jobs around home. To the event that I have been so bored I start a diet about 6 days ago and OH MY GOD people it is so easy I have lost about 22 pounds so far and it just seems to get easier each day. I was setting up watching TV late one night and seen a show about this diet pill that had just hit the market called diet ZX it is great now bad feeling no headaches just energy that it has the first night I about drove Danny Ray crazy but now have fell in a grove with it. Going well so in the months to come look for a smaller Big Daddy!
Then the flood come last week and wipes out towns all around me. Just greatly destroying some parts. My prayers go out to those people that are in this mess. Also cancelled the show for APW on the 10th which I was ready for but the man up stairs wanted something different, thats o.k. I am sure there will be a next time for me in APW I just wish those guys the best of luck. They are truely the best Independent Company out there right now. With endless talent to keep bringing great show to the table........
I know this is just rambling but I had to write something I can't sleep and have nothing else to do so decided to write. Hopefully next time I will have greater things to write about other than my diet......

Hello Everyonoe! It is the BIG Man again with some kind words for everybody. Just got in from Ghent,WV and wanted to write a little.
First off I would like to say I had a great time at the show in Ghent I squared off against Lance Erickson great talent in the ring I enjoyed every minute of the match which was a little short but for a good cause, anyway one other reason it was such a good time was Jaime K-Noble showed up at the show a great friend and one of my mentors in the business he helped me alot when I was just starting out in the Wrestling Business as you all will understand once I finish my Biography in a few days, ( end plug here ) Well anyway the show was good all around solid matches and nice small crowd better than the last time APW was in there well see only if Big Daddy is on the card the people come. (Ha.Ha. Just kidding)
The match of the night was Danny Ray and Jaime K-Noble the was from rope to floor and back again great stuff those two are just the bomb when the get together. Also Jaime will be in Oak Hill Tuesday to take Joey Morton, a guy that I have the up most respect for great person to listen to you will learn many things from just a conversation with him. He reminds much of Danny Ray when he speaks nothing but knowledge come from his mouth except when he gets to telling funnies or messing around then he is dangerous. Anyway this will be a match to watch I am not booked this week but I will be there just to see this match, One for the record books of APW I promise that.
Now on to something that has been on my mind for a few days. People losing respect in this business just for them being asswholes and disrespectful. I have always been respectful brought in that way and everyone has been the same to me but some people never learn. Independent Wrestling made you before TV did or some contract that pays you a bundle. This to me is one thing that is loved deeply from the heart and for every peice of shit out there that thinks they are better just because is dumb a hell, you was a peice of history if you made your way through the Indy's to the show because most definetly Indy's came before TV and big contracts. Just remember where you came from if you are already there and how many nights you lived on the road eating wish sandwiches because you got stiffed on pay in the last town or drove 800 miles from on town to the next when you think you are better than those guys out there working there ass off for 25 or 30 people becuse you was there once and before you hang those boots up your superstar asses will be there again. And those of you that is just beginning to make it remember your bridges and never burn them. One day those bridges will save you from drowning in your self pitty.........Till the next time Stay Big ,,,,,,Gordy

Weekly Commentary(05-27-01)
Hello Again Everyone!!! I have been pretty busy this past week, but to my dismay not wrestling. Looking for a new job. Luck has be good though we will just have to see I guess. Well to my commentary this week, to the joy of writing this great thing of words I kinda regret writing this one but if you have been around any at all I speak my mind and thats final so this one may make a few people upset with me. So lets get started.
Now wrestling is the only thing in my life that gives me satisfaction from all the things going on around me. That is what I love about the sport. Moreless what I am saying is that I would give my body no thought or mind no rest if I didn't have wrestling beside all the time. I had a friend and let me tell you a very close friend e-mail me this week and say man I love it but it seems I have no where to go, no calls, no bookings, nothing. I am just sick and tired of this it seems that promoters just don't want someone to still the show. I think it is over I think I am done. You know I love it but I can't handle this anymore. () O.K. this is a hard thing to say but brother you need to find your heart and find fast or this will beat you. I mean it if you love it like you say the bookings will come later. Stand strong be the man I know love it strive for it work hard keep training everyday. That then will bring you the joy of loving the sport. If you give up and quit well then it wasn't love it was just fun. That my friend is just fact and if you love it like I think you will find the strive to keep you going. Work hard beat it brother I have great faith in you to do just that. Don't take a word of the mouth of someone and let it get you down reflect and study what was said learn to use against you and turn it in to a negative. That is what I love about the sport you can never stop learning. That is all for that subject...... Now on to the next cycle of my words.
I am looking forward to getting to work fo APW in the near future I have been solid minded throught these past few weeks just reflecting think looking in my mind for things I can use to capitalize in the future. Very much standard and looking forward to the future for Big Daddy Gordy. I have to say a few days back I had a great conversation with the man who trained me Danny Ray and he is always wise on questions that he gets asked. I have been having a few back problems from an injury in 1996 that gives me pain from time to time, well the doctors think I should maybe have surgery. Well as long as I can walk and wrestle no blade will touch my back. I look at my dad who lost alot of freedom when he had back surgery now he walks on a kane, nothing wrong with that but he lost alot. He couldn't play sports with me as a teen that is something that was very close between the both of use but we manage to have a good relationship now. I love my family very much and respect my father for his heart and will not to give and let his injury get him down that is why I try so hard to succeed I take it from him . He has never seen me wrestle and I have been wrestling since 1995 he says maybe when we are close to home but never came. It worries him that I may get hurt. He stands behind me though 100%. Then last thursday I was watching a tape of an old WPW tape from Logan's Fall Festival. I was really into the tape when he walked in so I didn't say much to him. He sat down and started to watch with me. After the tape was finished I looked over and a tear was running down his face, he said you love it don't you, Yes I replied. He said I see the fire in your eyes like when you were little playing ball with us at the park. I just smiled. He said don't ever stop wanting something son and you will Always Win. I love you. Then he just walked out of my room. Me and my dad have grown closer and closer in the past few years we understand each other and he understands my wants in life and that is to wrestle as a mainstay.
To all that have something in life they want never stop trying never quit nothing in time maybe not as fast as you want but sooner or later it will come to pass.
No more comments this week I hope I didn't make anyone mad but if so you will make through it is just words. Until next time look for me in Oak Hill or around the area with WPW or APW because the Big Man is on fire and coming near........Gordy
