Tommy Rich is a former High School football player who started the sport of wrestling in 1974 when he was only 18 years old, in 1978 he won PWI Rookie of the year award and the next year won his first regional title, the Georgia heavyweight title

The same year in 1979 won the PWI's Most improved wrestler of the year award. by 1980 he moved to memphis and attacked Jerry Lalwer and hired Jimmy hart as his new manager

Tommy Rich returned to the Georgia Territory and won the Georgia TV Title and later teamed with the Junk Yard Dog in a series of battles with the Fabulous Freebirds, on April 27, 1981 Rich beat Harley race to win the NWA Heavyweight Champion!

After several bloody feuds with Buzz Sawyer, Ric Flair, & Ted Debiase, he returned to Memphis only to be teamed with Hotstuff Eddie Gilbert. After the split they engadged into a Bloody feud and left the territory

In 1987, Wildfire Tommy Rich made a hugh comeback in Memphis and turned on Jerry The King Lawler along with partner Austin Idol and worked for AWA (American Wrestling Association)

In 1989, Rich spoted the up coming WCW that was nationally owned by Ted Turner and has since been a big impact in the company going up against men such as Bam Bam Bigalow, Harley Race, The Diamond Studd aka Schott Hall, Lex Luger, just to name a few

He later joined the York Foundation led by Ms. Alexzandra York aka Terri Runnels. After about a year with the faction he departed and return to memphis wrestlling and worked with the top Indys including SMW, USWA, ETC.

Tommy Rich than head over the up coming ECW to join the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and was involved at war with the Gangstas

Since his days in Memphis, Georiga, WCW, SMW, USWA, & ECW, He Still very active in this sport and his name will always be remembered as the Wildfire that blazyed through the big time in his career!
