Taylor walked out of the sliding glass door spotting Mira in the hammock in the back yard. He came up behind her so she couldn’t see him and held out a daisy in front of her face.

"Aw, thanks baby," she whispered looking up from her book at him and taking the flower. "Zoe’s asleep."

"Oh," he whispered smiling when he saw his youngest sister curled up next to Mira sound asleep.

"Where’ve you been?" Mira asked laying her book on her stomach. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," he leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I’ve been out and about with Isaac."

"Doing what?" She smiled.

"Stuff," he grinned back. "But listen, I made reservations for us for dinner tonight."

"Reservations, huh?" she smiled. "Is this all nice and stuff?"

"Yep," he said. "We gotta get dressed up."

"Wow, I’m impressed."

"Well I try hard just for you. But you need to get ready soon cause I’m picking you up at 6:45 sharp."

"Alright. I’ll be ready," she looked up at him.

"Okay," he smiled. "See you then." He walked back into the house.

"Dude, honestly, I’m excited for you," Zac said tuning his guitar. "Mira’s a cool chick."

"Thanks man. Why is my hair being stupid?" Taylor asked studying himself in the mirror as he tried to fix the part in his hair.

"It looks the same as it always does," Zac laughed.

"Why am I nervous? This is ridiculous. I’m gonna tell her I love her, and it’s gonna be the best night I’ve ever had, and we’ll live happily ever after," he rambled to himself taking off his shirt and searching for another one.

Zac laughed and strummed a few chords. "But you have to calm down first," he said.

"Okay," Taylor breathed "I’m calm." He dropped to the floor beginning a routine of push-ups.

"I wonder why Taylor made such big dinner plans," Mira said as she hung her head over and brushed her hair.

"Maybe he’s gonna ask you to marry him," Jessica said sorting through Mira’s make-up.

Mira laughed. "Oh my gosh, don’t say that," she smiled and flipped her head back up. "That’s crazy."

"Man, I hate to see you the day you ask her to marry you," Zac said as Taylor tossed another shirt into a pile.

"Oh my God, dude, don’t say that," Taylor said. "Maybe it’s the pants. Should I change my pants?" He asked.

"This is the cutest skirt," Jessica said holding the bottom of Mira’s knee-length print skirt that was all different colors. She wore it with a nice pale yellow spaghetti strap tank top with her hair down.

"Thanks," she smiled. "I hope I’m dressed up enough."

"Yeah, you look awesome," Jessica approved.

"No," Zac shook his head. "That shirt’s gay."

Taylor looked down at himself then back up at Zac. "It’s yours."

"Well then I haven’t worn it in like 2 years. Pick another one," Zac said. He went back to strumming his guitar as he worked on a song he was writing with a few of his friends.

Taylor took off the shirt and discarded it in the corner. He picked out a navy blue polo shirt with an orange stripe across the front and put it on over his white t-shirt. "Alright, is this okay?"

Zac looked up at him. "Yes. But tuck it in," he finally approved.

Mira looked at herself in the mirror again. "Okay, I’m going to my room. Thank you for all your help," she said leaving as Jessica followed her.

"Cool. I’ll see you later. Have fun," Jessica smiled and walked off towards her room.

Mira slid her shoes on and sprayed her Clinique Happy on her wrists and rubbed them on her neck. She fastened the necklace Taylor had given her around her neck.

"Alright, I’m ready," Taylor said standing up once he had tied his shoes. "Am I forgetting anything?"

Zac reached over and picked up the box from his desk. "The ring," he held it out to him.

"Oh yeah," Taylor laughed taking the box and sticking it in his pocket. "Thanks. Okay, I’m out. Peace."

"Good luck man," Zac said as Taylor exited the room.
