A few people sang some songs causing the people in the bar to get rowdy as the night wore on. "Isaac, Taylor, and Zac," the DJ called out.
"Whooo," Mira yelled out as they slid out of the booth and jumped on the small stage.
Before they took the microphones each of them took their shirts off to reveal white wifebeaters making the crowd at the bar cheer for them.
"Oh my God," Mira laughed leaning her head on Julie’s shoulder.
"Yeah," Amy called out.
Taylor put on Zac’s aviator sunglasses. "This one’s for Mira. She’s 21 today," he said into the mic as everyone cheered again. Isaac and Zac shared a mic and Taylor had his own.
"You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips," Taylor sang in a low voice pointing to Mira.
"Yes!" she laughed raising her arms. The entire bar cheered when they recognized "You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’."
"And there’s no tenderness like before in your fingertips. You’re tryin’ hard not to show it."
"Baby," Zac and Isaac sang.
Mira clapped her hands laughing while they sang to her.
"Baby, baby," Taylor said dropping to his knees. "I get down on my knees for you."
"Oww," Amy and Mira shouted as all three girls laughed.
"If you would only love me, like you used to do," all 3 guys sang together. "We had a love, a love, a love you don’t find everyday. So don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t let it slip away." Taylor stood back up and draped his arms around his brothers. "Baby."
"Baby," Isaac and Zac echoed.
"Baby."
"Baby," Zac attempted the high note causing the girls to laugh.
They finished the song getting a standing ovation from the entire bar. They put their shirts on making their way back to the table.
"Awesome," Mira said wrapping Isaac in a hug. She gave each of them a hug receiving a kiss on the cheek from Taylor. "Thanks you guys," she laughed.
"I can ride back with Amy," Mira offered a few hours later as they left O’Henry’s. "Since you have to drop off Julie."
"Alright," Taylor nodded stretching his arm around Julie. "I’ll see you when I get home."
"Cool. Bye Julie," Mira said before climbing in the backseat with Zac.
"Bye Mira. Happy Birthday," Julie said. She stepped up into Zac’s car as Taylor opened the door for her out of habit.
"Thanks," Mira said and closed the door. "Ohhh," Mira sighed and leaned her head on Zac’s shoulder.
"Have fun?" Zac asked.
"Mm hmm," Mira laughed. "Did you?"
"Definitely."
Mira gently squeezed the sides of Zac’s face and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Thanks you guys. I had fun."
"No problem," Isaac said from the passenger seat. "I had a good time too."
"God, where is he?" Mira asked checking her watch sitting on Taylor’s bed in the dark. "It’s 2:30."
"Probably still at Julie’s," Zac said from his position on his bed. He was changing the channels on the television finding nothing worth watching. "Which is lame," he added. "You don’t like him with her, do you?" Zac asked.
"It’s not that," Mira defended. "What do you think they’re doing?"
"Well," Zac sighed, "Julie’s probably whining about how she’s still in love with him and Taylor’s probably trying to convince her she’s not. That’s all they talk about.
"Hmm," Mira said.
"Donde esta la biblioteca?" Zac repeated the words on the TV screen. He had settled on a beginners spanish lesson on PBS.
"La biblioteca esta en la esquina," Mira replied reading the answer.
Taylor quietly opened the door thinking Zac was already asleep. "Oh," he said noticing both of them still up. "Hey," he smiled.
"Hola," Zac greeted.
"Cool," Taylor said looking at the TV screen. He fell on his bed next to Mira.
"Did you wreck my car?" Zac asked.
"Yeah," Taylor said taking his shoes off.
"Thanks man."
