2 months later....

Zac pointed his video camera at Nicole and Andy backstage. “Nicole, do you realize what you’ve gotten yourself into?” He asked.

She closed her eyes trying to slow her breathing down before the first show. “Zac, if I puke all over your fans, does that mean we can’t open for you anymore?”

“You’re not gonna puke,” Zac said.

“Just imagine that all those people are here to see us,” Andy said.

“Yeah,” Nicole laughed. “Oh my God, what if they hate us?”

“They won’t hate you,” Taylor laughed sitting next to her.

“You don’t understand, Taylor,” Cameron said. “We’ve never played for more than like, 50 people.”

“Look at my hands,” Nicole held her hands out in front of her. “Do you see this Zac? My hands won’t stop shaking. I’m gonna drop the microphone and we’re all gonna die.”

“Well then at least we all died on stage,” Cameron said putting his arm around Nicole.

“Oh my God, I can’t believe we just did that,” Nicole jumped up and down wrapping her arms around Cameron’s neck as their whole band hugged each other.

“That was so out of control. Awesome,” Cameron yelled once they got backstage.

“Awesome job, you guys,” Taylor said coming up to them giving everyone a high five.

“Thanks,” they said.

“Your fans are nuts. But they’re cool,” Cameron said.

“Yeah, that was so much fun,” Nicole said.

“Well congratulations on your first big show,” Zac told them.

“So do you miss school?” Taylor asked leaned up against the wall in his bunk on the tour bus.

“Not really,” Nicole laughed. “This is a million times better. I mean I miss my friends and stuff. But these guys are my best friends so it works out.”

“Yeah,” he nodded. “That’s how it is with me and my brothers.”

“That’s really cool that you guys are so close.”

“Mm hmm. Everyone wants some big scandal like we really hate each other...” he said.

“Right,” she laughed. “And that you trash hotel rooms after you get wasted.”

“Exactly,” he smiled. “But we’re pretty normal. Well... with the execption of Isaac.”

She laughed. “Yeah, you’re pretty down to earth for being as successful as you are.”

“Well,” he looked down at his hands. “We do what we can.” She looked over at him and he felt himself being watched. “What?” He shyly smiled.

“I’m just thinking of all the secrets you’ve got going on in there,” she told him.

“How do you know I have secrets?”

“I can tell,” she assured him.

He squinted his eyes and looked closer at her. “Is your tongue pierced?”

She let out a small laugh. “Yep.”

“Lemme see,” he smiled. She stuck out her tongue and showed his the silver ball. “Damn,” he said, examining the piercing. “Did that hurt?”

“Not that bad,” she told him.

He nodded slowly. “Interesting.”

Have you ever had your tarot cards read?” She asked.

He looked at her. “No. Have you?”

“I can read them. You want me to do yours?”

“Sure,” he smiled.

“Cool,” she hopped down and went to her bag to get her cards.

She hopped back up onto Taylor’s bunk and slid the curtain closed. “Okay,” she said tossing her dark hair behind her shoulder as she took the cards out of the box. “Go ahead and shuffle these however you want and while you do, think of your life and what you want to concentrate on.”

He obeyed and took the deck of cards from her. She watched his brow crease as he seemed to concentrate while his hands shuffled the deck. “Here ya go,” he gave them back to her.

“Alright,” she smiled tucking her hair behind her ear before she began to lay out the cards between them. “Hm,”she breathed raising her eyebrows as she examined his cards. “Interesting.”

“What?” Taylor inquired, curious as to what she could tell about him. “Did I get the death card?”

She laughed. “No. But the death card isn’t necessarily bad,” she told him. “It just means a transition in your life.”

“So what’s gonna happen to me?”

She opened her book to read over the meanings of a few of the cards. She smiled and let out a small laugh. “Okay, this first card represents you, your general environment and what you’re comfortable with. You got the Ace of Pentacles which means like, perfect contentment and happiness,” she explained looking up at him.

Taylor nodded. “That’s me now?”

“That’s what you’ve basically experienced your whole life,” she told him. “No rocky past or severe loss as of yet.”

“Mmkay,” he said looking back down at the cards.

“Um, this card across you is your obstacle, what hinders you,” she looked up giving him a small smile.

“I got the Lovers card as my obstacle?” Taylor grinned.

“Well the Lovers card means beauty, perfection,” she nodded slowly. “So maybe, I don’t know, you find your astonishing good looks a hinderance,” she sighed looking off to the side while a smirk played on her face.

Taylor laughed and shook his head. “I don’t know about that.”

“But really,” she continued, looking back down at his cards. “Maybe you tend to be perceived as this image of blonde perfection and you feel like you’re not always taken seriously like, in your career or in relationships.”

“Hm,” Taylor creased his brow thoughtfully.
