Well, Green Eyes, with their soft lights
Your eyes that promise sweet nights
Bring to my soul a longing, a thirst for love divine
In dreams I seem to hold you, to find you and enfold you,
Our lips meet and our hearts, too, with a thrill so sublime.

“Mm, God you smell good,” Ruby said from her position beneath Zac in his car. They were on the tilted back passenger seat in the parking lot of the restaurant they were supposed to be eating at.

Zac smiled as he placed wet kisses down her neck. “You taste good.” He unbuttoned her dark gray wool pants and unzipped them running his hand along her lower stomach. His lips made their way down to the edge of her black bra and he trailed his tongue along the outline of her breasts.

She reached down and unbuckled his brown leather belt and began to undo his jeans. He let her push them off until they ended up at his ankles. “You wanna go in the back?” She asked as she lifted up her hips so he could pull down her pants.

“No,” he said sliding onto his knees as he kissed her stomach. “We’re good.”

“What if someone sees us?” She whispered.

“Ruby, look at the windows,” he said climbing back on top of her.

She turned her head to see all the windows completely fogged up. “Oh wow. That really can happen.”

“Shhh,” he quieted her before placing his lips on hers. She trailed her fingertips down his bare back as she continued kissing him. After they both got their underwear off, she posistioned her feet on the dashboard allowing him to easily slide into her.

“I’ll get it,” Zac called over the loud music when he heard the doorbell. He jogged to the door wearing his khaki pants and an untucked white dress shirt - Taylor had insisted that everyone dress up for the New Year’s party. He pulled open the door to find Ruby standing on the other side wearing a knee length red skirt and a fitted black sweater that criss-cross at her chest and tied at the side. She also wore the ruby necklace and earrings that he had given her.

“Hey there,” she smiled.

“Oh man,” Zac held his hand to his chest and stepped back. “Where’ve you been all my life?”

She laughed and stepped up into his house. “You look adorable as usual,” she told him before placing a kiss on his lips. “Hmm, someone’s already started drinking,” she said when she pulled away.

“Just a little. I was waiting for you,” he said.

“Oh my God, Ruby you’re hot,” Taylor shouted coming down the stairs, his Snoopy tie loosened around his neck. “I want you to know that any brother of yours is a brother of mine. I mean that,” he pointed at her and patted her on the shoulder. “Welcome to the casa de mucho cerveza,” he said and walked off into the kitchen.

Ruby looked at Zac and raised her eyebrows. “Wow.”

“Yeah,” Zac laughed. “He started drinking like, two hours ago.”

“Well,” she took his hand and dragged him towards the kitchen, “let’s catch up.”

“Guess who,” someone said placing her hands over Zac’s eyes as he sat with Ruby and a few of his friends in the living room.

“Um...Jennifer Lopez?” He answered.

“Not quite,” she giggled and draped her arms around his neck from behind.

“Belinda,” Zac jumped off his chair. “You’re...you’re here.”

“Yeah I’m here, cutie,” she smiled.

“Um, this is my girlfriend, Ruby,” he introduced her. “She’s my girlfriend,” he nodded nervously.

“Hi,” Ruby smiled.

“Hi, I’m Belinda. Me and Zac go way back.”

Ruby nodded slowly. “Cool.”

“So this is the girlfriend? The one in New York?” Belinda asked situating herself on the couch.

“Um, yeah,” Zac said.

“Wow, you must really trust him, Ruby,” she said. “I mean, he could get away with anything and you’d never know.”

“I’m sure he’d tell me if anything happened while I’m away,” Ruby said finishing another beer.

“Oh, then he told you about us?” Belinda asked.

“Um-” Ruby looked at Zac.

“There was no ‘us,’ Belinda,” Zac said. “Whatever happened at that party was like, months ago. And it didn’t mean anything.”

“Alright then. But maybe you should question this relationship you have if you have to go looking elsewhere for any satisfaction,” Belinda said and stood up to make her way towards the kitchen.

“What was that about?” Ruby asked.

Zac shook his head. “Some bullshit blowjob she gave me at a crappy party after you left. It didn’t mean anything and she like, forced me to get drunk.”

Ruby looked back at Belinda who was currently flirting with Taylor. “Yuck,” she said scrunching up her nose and crossed one leg over the other. “Anyone else at this party give you a blowjob I should know about?”

“No,” he laughed. “But let’s not discuss again what happened after you left for school, right?”

“Right,” she laughed. “Those were some bad times.”
