“I want you,” he said panting. “I want to finish what I started. Now.”
She crawled back on top of him and resumed kissing his neck. He slid his hands
down into her shorts pushing them off of her.
“Wait, wait,” Zac whispered before Ruby lowered herself onto him. “We need a
condom.”
“Do you have one?” Ruby asked searching his eyes.
Zac’s face dropped unhappily. “No,” he told her. “I’ve uh,” his eyes averted off
to the side. “I’ve never done this before,” he said quietly with a small smile.
Ruby smiled smoothing the hair back off his forehead. “It’s okay,” she told him
before placing a kiss on his lips. “I’m on the Pill,” she whispered. “Don’t worry about it.”
Zac’s face showed a sign of relief as Ruby rolled over on her back bringing him on
top of her.

Zac rolled over on his side trying to slow his breathing down. “God,” he sighed.
“You’ve said that like 8 times,” Ruby laughed rolling over on her side to face him.
He laughed and leaned his face in to rest his head in the crook of her neck. He
breathed in deeply remembering the way she smelled like apples. He briefly kissed her
neck and looked back up at her.
“You’re absolutely beautiful,” he told her tucking some of her dark hair behind her
ear.
She looked into his round brown eyes and smiled. “Wow,” she whispered.
“Thank you.”
Zac smiled back at her and ran his hand up and down her side. Ruby gently
pushed Zac onto his back and laid her head on his chest.
“Now’s when we sleep,” she said. “You wore me out,” she grinned.
Zac let out a small laugh combing his fingers through her hair. “You know, I’d
love to, but won’t your mom be home soon?”
Ruby groaned and lifted her head up to look at the clock on the nightstand.
“Yeah,” she sighed. “In like 15 minutes.”
“Well in that case,” he said sliding out of the bed. “I’ll leave you here and let you
sleep. But I’m gonna head home.” He searched underneath the covers for his shorts.
“Kay,” she agreed pulling the covers over herself and turning on her side. He
found his shorts and slid them on.
“I’ll be right across the street if you need me,” Zac grinned bending down in front
of her.
Ruby laughed before he leaned in to kiss her. “Goodbye Zachary,” she said
smiling.
He kissed her again. “Bye Ruby,” he said and kissed her again.
“Bye,” she laughed after pulling away.
“Okay, see ya later,” he said walking to the door and leaving.
