the castle

when i think of castles, i usually think of scotland. never do i think of crystal beach, but that is where this castle is located. it's just a 20 minute drive from my town. as odd as it is that it is located here, what is odder is what else is located at this site. it has a mote and is built on a hill, and is surrounded by strange objects. i took pictures of these things.

this is a giant concrete block. i don't know what this giant block could possibly be used for, but is also has a giant blue tarp over it that has been worn from weather.

this is a giant meat grinder. it seriously is huge and i know these objects probably seem smaller than they are since there are no people in the pictures to compare size to. however, this meat grinder is gigantic and scared the crap out of me!

okay, this i don't know what it is. i think it has something to do with a train because it was dumped beside some remaining train tracks.

these are hot tubs. there was about 20 of them all together and stacked upon each other. they were filled with rain and dirt.

and this is the castle.

this is an escalator. at this point i gave up guessing what all these objects had to do with one another and why they were dumped at the site of a castle. it is a mystery that i just can't solve.

after i took this picture, i went right up to the castle and looked into the windows. a crane was inside it, as well as other weird, smaller objects. then a guard dog figured out that i was there. my life flashed before me as i ran like the devil down the dirt road. i will never visit the castle again.
