So there I was tonight, washing dishes, as I am always doing, it seems. We have no dishwasher, you might as well know - human or mechanical. When I was growing up, my family did not have a dishwasher either. I was fortunate enough to have a dishwasher in the first appartment elizabeth and I shared. We lived there for one year.
When I was growing up, my family did not have a dishwasher either. My Dad made a chart for my brothers and sisters to take turns. My parent's logic "We grew up doing so many, now it's your turn." When we washed them, it was usually dark outside. Which made the large picture window in our kichen like a mirror. When it was my turn to dry, I'd make up dance moves and watch myself in the "mirror" or I'd "star" in music videos - mouthing the words to the "mirror."
I like to play vynyl records when I'm washing dishes these days. I put the little player on the kitchen table and away I go. Tonight I played two records.

Anyway, I was browsing the credits of the Strawbs record. Turns out it was produced by Tony Visconti. As in one of David Bowie's producers. Mr. Visconti also worked on the new Bowie Reality Tour DVD that I will watch as a reward for my dilligence in dishwashing. So now when I mention the Strawbs and people say "Who's that?" I'll say, "Oh, you know, Tony Visconti produced them."
