MARIO AND STICKS
I was experimenting with some Mario sprite sheets earlier. I Just decided to try different colours.
It was quite interesting. I also changed some of his sprites to indicate he was holding a stick. That could be a bizzare game twist. Then people would ask, why is he holding a stick?
So... what would Mario do with a stick? Two things come to mind.
He might go Monkey Magic style (eg Goku). Or mabye he already got a stick in the form of the raccoon tail he gains in SMB3.
The raccoon tail thing has already been done, so I will not delve further into that. So then it becomes an actual stick. Essentially by using it as a weapon then he can whack enemies with it.
In the game Duck Tales, extensive use was made of the pogo stick item. First seen in a video game in commander keen.
Come to think of it, recently Mario has gotten that crazy water pistol backpack thing. And it was a well-guarded secret, lest someone else should try to steal the idea.
I mean come on guys. It's a water pistol backpack thing. What use is anyone but Mario gonna have for such a thing.
