WuFei - The second chapter of Geyon Hunter.

"You though that you could kill me with those cheap tricks that you haven’t even mastered. Prepare to die for ever even *thinking * of double crossing me snake, and same for your unibang." WuFei said as he dropped into a fighting stance. Trowa and Treize did the same and with a rumble of pure energy, all three leapt.

Chapter Two : Obscurity.

Treize's hands glowed blue as a dragon leapt from his tightly clasped fingers. With a shriek, the energy dragon hit WuFei dead center in his chest, knocking the boy back into the cold cement ground. Treize still hovered in the air, Trowa at his side as he watched his beautiful dragon jump in and out of WuFei's body, trying to rip the boy limb from limb.

"Finish him off now." Treize said as he intensified the diving dragon that still plagued WuFei's prone body. Trowa nodded and began a small chant.

"Shamo wan tan da, shamo wan tan da.(1)" Trowa chanted, crinkles of green light surrounded his fingers. Drawing them back, the light formed a dagger and Trowa threw it at the circling dragon in WuFei's chest. Upon contact, they exploded with a brilliant flash of light and billowing towers of smoke engulfed WuFei's form.

"He's dead. That was my most powerful spell." Treize said with a satisfied smile, his energy spent, gently floating back to the ground. A scream of rage caught Treize's and Trowa's attention as they saw an angry violet eyed man raise his gun.

"You killed him!" Duo shouted as he shot his gun, the bullet embedding itself in Treize's neck. Treize pulled out the bullet and dropped it on the ground.

"You don’t know him officer. And I broke none of those stupid laws of yours." Treize replied with a haughty look as he looked down on Duo. Duo seethed angrily, gazing at WuFei's burned body. Zechs huffed as he caught up with Duo, noticing the standoff.

"Duo, are you nuts?!" Zechs yelled as he pulled out his own gun, aiming at Trowa. A grunt was Duo's reply. Trowa sighed in annoyance.

"Treize, let's go. Commander Relena is probably expecting our return. Or should we kill the outlaw now?" Trowa asked his captain.

"Not unless I kill you first." A voice muttered from the ground. Happiness flooded Duo as WuFei stood up, his golden radiance bursting out as the Dragon Hunter rose from his supposed death. WuFei's ebony eyes burned with retribution as he pulled out a charm from his sleeve. Treize's sapphire eyes lit in horror as he slowly realized just what kind of DH he was dealing with.

"Duo, what's WuFei doing?" Zechs asked as he stood by Duo's side, completely at a loss of understanding in all his 19years.

"I don't know but we had better lay low now!" Duo replied as he dove to the ground, pulling Zechs beside him. WuFei charged up the ward and pulled out a sword. Flinging the ward into the air, WuFei pulled out a sword and pressed the side of the sword up against the ward as it floated back down, its inscription facing Treize.

"Taze no rekka, no wai gonui wo! (2)" WuFei yelled as the ward went black and shot two flaming arrows at Treize and Trowa. Similar cries of pain shattered the night as Treize and Trowa dropped to the ground, black light escaping from their bodies as they were slowly vaporized. A blue beam shot down from space and WuFei stood his ground, his spell cast well. As the beam faded, a woman stood, pale blond hair sweeping behind her as she regarded Trowa and Treize on the ground.

"I have failed you your highness. Forgive me." Treize whispered as his eyes closed in pained misery. Relena sensed the presence of the Dragon Hunter, the magic radiating strongly of him, and beside him on the ground, another magic force resonated at a duller rate. Relena stored away that information for future usage.

"You both lived long. Your servitude will be remembered." Relena said. With a look in her eyes, she lifted her fingers and a white hot light shot from them, killing off Treize and Trowa. WuFei lifted a slender eyebrow as the woman turned to face him, a cruel smile on her lips.

"This fight isn't over yet. I shall return, but I leave you with a parting gift." Relena said as she raised her hand again and aimed at Duo behind WuFei. A small arrow left her hand and shot past WuFei, embedding itself in Duo's back.

"Duo!" Zechs shouted as the officer screamed in pain, a dull amethyst light glowing off his being. Panic seeped through WuFei as he hurried to Duo's side, keeping his eyes on the strange woman. With a smile, Relena vanished.

"What did she do?" Zechs asked as he tried to remove the arrow form Duo's back, the young officer trashing painfully on the ground.

"She used a sensepar spell. I'm sure that she sensed the magic in him. We have to get him out of here." WuFei said as he probed the area near where the arrow was imbedded.

"Senespar? What's the hell is that?" Zechs asked, his distress warring with his temper.

"It's a paralysis spell. The victim can certainly feel pain, but one or two of their other senses are held immobile. It's usually the sense that the person uses to cast spells," WuFei explained calmly. "Let's lift him gently." WuFei said as he and Zechs moved to lift Duo up.

"You're going to be okay Duo." Zechs said as the chestnut haired boy groaned an incoherent reply.

"I can help you get through the pain in five hours. After all, I'm partially responsible for your condition." WuFei said to Duo. Violet orbs lifted to meet obsidian and a smile, however pained forced its way up.

"You're, going to take care of him? I thought that DHs lived only for their jobs." Zechs said as he patched a call with his communicator to Heero and Quatre. WuFei smiled warily.

"He's someone that trusts me, and I him. He almost got killed during one of my jobs and I took care of him. He was unconscious most of the time, but I sensed the power in him from the beginning. A long story short, he would save my life if the opportunity arose," WuFei said with a shrug," Although I don't see why he should." WuFei added with a mental sigh. A small smile lit up Zech's eyes as he heard the whirl of hover.

"Hey guys, over here!" Zechs waved as he saw Heero and Quatre appear with a hover car. Quatre waved as Heero landed the car. Catherine, Hilde and the two youths hopped out of the car and helped to get Duo into the car.

"What happened to him?" Catherine asked worriedly as Duo's breathing sounded shallow to her ears. Hilde's eyes widened as the arrow in Duo's back dissolved into thin air.

"Someone shot him? With an arrow?!" she asked. She turned to Zechs for an explanation but the blond was just as mystified as she was.

"We need to get him to a safe place. How far away are we from your HQ?" WuFei asked worriedly.

"20minutes. Let's go!" Catherine said as she took the driver's seat. Waiting rather impatiently for everyone to get in, she floored it and sped away to the Allianoz HQ.

Two hours later, Heero and Quatre sat in Catherine's office with Hilde, all sipping coffee and making no small talk at all. The door opened and a weary Zechs walked in and dropped into an empty chair.

"So, how is Duo?" Quatre asked as turquoise eyes regarded their captain. Ice blue eyes stared back.

"WuFei kicked me out of there. But Duo looked a lot better than he did still lying on the ground." Zechs replied. Heero handed the tall blond a coffee and Zechs nodded his thanks.

"Dawn78 isn't usually so out of control at night." Hilde said, as if making an apology to the travelers. Heero shook his head.

"We'll be leaving soon anyway. We kind of brought all those Sapphires to this area in the first place." Heero said with a shake of his head.

"Well, it was WuFei that got thrown into the bar in the first place. And hey, if he agreed to Treize's job, I would probably be dead by now." Zechs said with a nonchalant tone of voice.

"You're quite right but I had, or rather have no intention of killing you Outlaw." A new voice spoke from the open doorway. WuFei entered the room, noticing the glare that Zechs was sent him. Hilde stood up and faced WuFei, a tremble in her voice.

"Will Duo be okay? And where's Catherine?" Hilde asked. The said woman walked through the door, her green eyes sparkling.

"Duo's doing fine. WuFei's got him stabilized. All we have to do is wait." Catherine said with a small sigh.

"Do you have any beds in this place Catherine?" Zechs asked as he stretched, a yawn escaping his mouth.

"Yes. Sometimes we stay all day and night and take naps on the small beds They're nothing fancy, but they provide the necessary comfort." Catherine replied as she rose from her seat. Heero and Quatre left the room, Catherine bringing Hilde along, the blue eyed girl showing signs of fatigue. WuFei leaned against a wall as he shut his eyes.

"So, how did you get mixed up with the Sapphires. It's never a smart idea to meddle with a clan as old as theirs." WuFei asked of Zechs. Zechs sat on the desk in the room, his long legs reaching the carpet as his brows furrowed in thought.

"I haven't encountered Plunderers before, and it's not like I don't have the right to go after the Halo of Son Goku. Just for my crew and I to achieve fame through the far reaches of the universe. It's always been our dream and Outlaws live for their dreams." Zechs said as his ice blue eyes regarded the Dragon Hunter against the wall. Ebony eyes opened and a small smile flitted across pink lips.

"Spoken like a true Outlaw. But Treize could have killed you himself. You can't be an Outlaw who's going after serious treasure without any regard for magic. Every Allianoz soldier knows this too. I can safely say that if I had accepted Treize's mission, you'd be dead by now, and I wouldn't have to do much to harm you. Guns usually won't work against spell casters. And a good number of Plunderers are spell casters." WuFei said nonchalantly as he pushed himself off the wall with little effort, ebony eyes narrowed at the blond captain. Zechs balled up his fists, anger seeping into him.

"I don’t need this! So what if I'm new and I'm messing with something bigger than I am? As long as I'm living out my dream, nothing else matters. Besides, I'm talking to a DH. All you guys to do is feed off the misery of others! It doesn't matter who gets in your way, as long as the job is done!" Zechs said as he stood, anger flashing in his eyes. WuFei strode towards Zechs and slapped the youth across his face, a red mark glowing on Zechs' cheek.

"I don't know where you're from, or this dream that you speak of. Even I have a dream, even though I take a different path from yours, you don’t know the circumstances that have put me here, and I do not feed of the misery of others, or harm any innocents. I find that dishonourable. I would rather hunt down a worthy adversary, and from your words and attitude, you are not one, but that doesn't mean that you can't make yourself one if you get your head out of the clouds once in a while and face reality. It's a harsh existence when people fear you, maybe you need to realize that Outlaw." WuFei spike icily. Turning his back on Zechs, he left the room, Zechs holding his stinging cheek.

Duo lay on his stomach on a bed, the pain in his back washing over him for five torturous minutes. Cracking open a violet orb, he watched as the door slid open and the Dragon Hunter stepped through the door, the look in his eyes one of pained emotions.

"Are…you all right?' Duo asked weakly as he managed to open both eyes, turning his head to regard the petite man at the door. WuFei silently sank into the chair next to Duo's bed, his fingers probing the injured area on Duo's back.

"I should be asking you that question. You'll be fine soon enough, and then I can leave." WuFei replied as he replaced the bandages on Duo's back. Duo blushed as WuFei's fingers skirted over his flesh, sending shivers up his spine. His dreams surfaced in his mind again, and the violet eyed man forced them back into the depths of his heart where they belonged.

"How's your sister?" Duo asked as WuFei finished his job and relaxed back into the chair. Duo heard a small sigh leave the youth as he bowed his head.

"She died after I got both of you out of that mine shaft back on Jupiter." WuFei replied softly.

"I'm sorry." Duo whispered back.

"It's okay. Merian and I knew that saving all those innocent people was what really mattered." WuFei replied as he gazed at his hands. Duo sensed the incoming feeling of guilt in the Chinese man's heart.

"WuFei, I'm still glad that you saved me, and I'm sure that all those people are as well. You're one of those people that I'm glad to call friend, whether you're an assassin or not." Duo replied as his violet orbs focused on WuFei. Ebony eyes gazed back a small glimmer of innocence in them.

"Friend…you're the first one to call me that. I thank you." WuFei said with a small smile. Duo nodded.

"It's not every day that a Dragon Hunter saves my life you know. I just glad that this opportunity presented itself, so that I could finally thank you. Besides, I was already looking for you." Duo said sleepily as he shut his eyes. WuFei looked surprise, a small blush creeping across his face as the violet eyed man fell asleep. No one ever chased down a Dragon Hunter for the sake of thanks, that much WuFei knew.

"You're one strange boy Duo, but …it's all right." WuFei said as he picked up a blanket and covered Duo. With a sigh, WuFei placed a kiss on Duo's forehead and sitting back in his chair, he shut his eyes in sleep.
