Duo smiled as he put his arm around WuFei as he and the gundam pilots walked down a crowded street. They hadn’t had missions for a while and they had decided to do a little shopping. Quatre hung on Trowa’s arm as the blond gazed with shinning eyes at the silent French pilot. Heero looked indifferently as Duo bounced from him to WuFei. The pilot of Shenlong shied away to Heero’s side to avoid the over excited braided pilot.

"Come on Wu-man, it’ll be fun!" Duo said as he dropped a kiss on WuFei’s cheek.

"Duo no baka!" WuFei shouted as he blushed.

Later in the night, WuFei found Duo gazing into empty space.

"Duo, are you okay?" WuFei asked. Duo looked up.

"WuFei, please, stay with me." Duo whispered. WuFei nodded. He would do anything for his friend. Duo captured WuFei’s lips in his and they tumbled slowly to the bed…

WuFei sat in his room late at night, keeping his memories of what had happened with Duo the night before in total confusion. He didn’t say that he loved me, and I care about him. He doesn’t love me, he would have said so. Gods Duo, you’ve hurt me… Tears wet his cheeks as he hid his face in his pillow. There was a knock at his door and Heero came in, noticing WuFei’s distress and sat by his side. He wrapped his arms around WuFei, letting the boy sob his heart out. Heero smiled gently as cobalt eyes met velvet.

~She said I took her for granted
That’s the last thing I would do
Oh I’ll never understand it
I thought she knew~

Duo looked throughout the safe house and found WuFei’s door. He opened the door slowly, peeking in. WuFei’s eyes were shut as Heero held him close, baring some of his scars from his training to WuFei. The Chinese boy ran gentle fingers over the scars.

"It’s all right Heero." WuFei whispered as he smiled gently. Heero needed him, Duo didn’t. Duo bit back angry tears. I always thought that WuFei would be alone and need my company. Couldn’t WuFei see how much I love him? Duo shut the door and scrambled to his room, shedding tears over his lost angel.

~ I thought she knew my world revolved around her
My love light burned for her alone. ~

Duo wandered into the kitchen the next morning and spots WuFei sitting by the table.

"Duo, why aren’t you smiling? Is something wrong?" WuFei asked as velvet eyes filled with concern and warmth met Duo’s.

"Nothing Wu-man." Duo said as he smiled, a genuine one. WuFei nodded and diverted his hurt eyes from Duo.

Heero came in and smiled at WuFei, a look in cobalt eyes that only WuFei could understand.

~But she couldn’t see the flame
Only myself to blame
I should have known

"WuFei, are you ready to go?" Heero asked as he entered the kitchen.

"Hai Heero. Bye Duo." WuFei said and he ran to Heero’s side. As they left, Heero leaned over and kissed WuFei.

"Hi WuFei." Heero whispered as his cheeks turned a sakura pink. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have such a beautiful boy love his battered body and soul.

"Where are we off to?" WuFei asked he squeezed Heero’s hand. Duo turned away from the two, his heart ripping in two. I was too slow, too late to tell you how I’ve fallen for you…

~ A heart full of words left unspoken
Now that we’re through~

"WuFei, we need to talk." Duo said as he opened WuFei’s door. The Shenlong pilot wasn’t there. Heero was. He was pacing around WuFei’s room, cobalt eyes furrowed in thought. WuFei caught Duo at his door.

"Duo." WuFei said as the violet-eyed pilot rested his gaze on him.

"WuFei…I mean," Duo said as he rested his hand on WuFei’s shoulder. WuFei brushed away his tears.

"Duo, you hurt me." WuFei whispered as he shied away from Duo’s touch and ran into his room. WuFei smiled in surprise as his obsidian depths met cobalt.

~I’d sell my soul to have this silence broken
Oh I thought she knew (I thought she knew)~

Duo sat in front of the fridge as he maked himself a mountain of ice cream. WuFei came in, surprised to find Duo at the fridge. Duo looked up, tired eyes smiling sadly.

"What are you doing Duo?" WuFei asked as he knelt next to Duo.

"I’m sorry that I hurt you WuFei. I shouldn’t have, done what I did; take advantage of you." Duo said.

"It’s all right Duo. I sorted out my feelings and, I can only thank you. We should forget what happened." WuFei said as he placed a comforting hand on Duo’s shoulder.

"We should." Duo replied.

WuFei smiled as Heero wrapped his arms around him at the end of the war.

"Heero!" WuFei said cheerily as Heero’s fingers traced a smooth caramel cheek. Duo got out of Deathscythe Hell. Heero’s cobalt eyes sparkled with joy as WuFei’s warm smile shone on his darkened world. His angel loved him. WuFei smiled as he set eyes on Duo. He waved and Duo smiled warmly. I may have lost your love, but I still will hold on to our friendship… Heero claimed WuFei’s lips in his, this bright sunlight lighting up his world.
