The most current project that I have had time for- outside of my writing- has been this photography project that I completed with the help of everyone in the cultural center group.

If you are familiar with the work of the art photographers Pierre et Gilles, then you sort of have an idea of where we were coming from in this. The idea, as with most art, was to represent some aspect of yourself- or of humanity- by using an eclectic collection of props and messing around with the digital camera. Some of the little things wrong with the final photo could be fixed on the computer with a program, but a lot of people opted to paint on the photos their corrections, or just paint to add some character to their work.

I am not exactly a top notch painter, so I decided to leave that part of it alone, but we did use the computer a little with the outlining background. What originally was used was a silver pipecleaner, and a blueish transparency was held over the lense- the computer was used to clone some of the circles made by the pipecleaner for a more full look.

The group's photos were put on exhibit, actually, and I guess they will be for the rest of the month. Some of us also got into the newspaper with our projects- myself included. It was an interesting project that kept me busy and I am quite thankful to everyone for their support!

For a while I didn't know what to call it, but now I have a name-

"L'amour est l'enfant de la Liberte."

go crazy.
