Coming straight outta Ann Arbor, Michigan, Taproot gives us Michiganders something to be proud of(because face it....Kid Rock blows!). As Michigan Daily writer Adlin Rosli observes, “Ann Arbor band Taproot has been placed under the blanket label of rap-core. Although the group does have heavy riffs and a singer who occasionally raps during verses, the term fails to do the band justice. With one foot firmly placed in heavy music and the other lost in experimentation, the group creates music that crushes, soothes, excites, more often than not, in the same song.” I couldn't of said it better myself.
With the release of their sophomore album "Welcome", Taproot plans to take on the world, and show everyone what they're made of.*
