Some of us have come to understand that Nashville is not the place to be. In fact, I've been there and was glad to get back home.
Texas has become, in my opinion, the 'back door' to Nashville. However, Texas will always be 'Center Stage' for artists who live outside the guidelines that Nashville says is "lucrative".
We do what we want here in Texas, as long as it makes folks happy. Nashville execs may say some of us aren't marketable, but, when I'm standing on a stage watching people, just like You, sing along with the songs I have written, I know that Nashville's opinion doesn't matter a whole helluva lot!
