Placebo have toured Australia twice so far (and as I live I australia that, to me, is an important fact.) First in April/May was their headline tour, performing in mostly sold out clubs around the 1000 - 1500 size in most capital cities.

Their second tour, a few months later, in August was as 'special guests' for silverchair. This time they played entertainment centre's (around 6000 ppl) and once again not only due to the success of silverchair, but also Placebo, many of the shows were sold out. Placebo also squeezed in a few of their own shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.

Placebo came in at #'s 87 (You Don't Care About Us) & 5 (Every You Every Me) in radio station Triple J's hottest 100 of 1999. The biggest publicly voted music poll in the world with over 650, 000 people voting.

1998 - Without You I'm Nothing

July 17^th 2000 will see Placebo's new single 'Taste In Men' hit the shops in the UK, with the album rumoured for a September release. Unfortunately we in Australia will have to wait until at least the 7^th of August for TIM.
