Member of Parliament
Patrick was a member of the British Parliament for 39 years before he wasn't re-elected in 2001. His term, which started in 1962, was entirely under the current British Queen, Queen Elizabeth II. Patrick explained to us how the Blitz felt, as he was either a baby or toddler during this time. He told us to thank our relatives that fought in World War II. Patrick also exclaimed "If I weren't British, I would rather be an American!" A picture of Patrick is shown below and in the background is a picture of where Parliament meets.
