Good Lord, -more- Videos?

now playing: Dir en grey's KR Cube single (2000)

Bought TourPuffyTour! (with their good, early stuff, live), a short video for Min, a short video for Sung, and a Kill=Slayd video called Tempest, because it was only Y100... and actually, the green price tag that said it was Y100 actually meant it was half-price -- Y50! (Disk Union uses different color price tags to indicate percentage discounts.)

Apparently green tags indicate crap, because the Kill=Slayd video (or at least the two minutes I watched of it) was horrible. The singer cannot sing beyond all reason. A lot of j-rock guys can't sing that great, but this guy was really bad -- they even had the guitar and bass mixed really low, just do reduce the contrast between in-tune guitars and the singer. I had seen their stuff lying in visual rock sections of stores, but they weren't visual either, just crap! OH, crap! But the Puffy video was cool, so the day wasn't a total wash.

At Book Off (this is all in Machida by the way) I spotted another Gauze; that's now three total that I've seen at all, new or used -- compared to my 1000th Luna Sea Singles. Still no Missa, of course. THe KR Cube on the single is different than the album version, but not in any serious way. Jealous (Reverse) is cool, just a more laid-back version of that song. KR Cube (Vomit Mix) has some cool stuff going on, but it's nto worht more than the Y350 I paid for the single. Mostly I got it just to say, "I have all the Dir en grey 5-inch singles now." <flicks up polo shirt collar, puts on shades, does that finger-gun "bang" thing>

Also at Book Off, where they have every Luna Sea 3-inch single for Y50, I got it in my head that it'd be cool to buy all the singles and frame them all together. But that's more of a project to do after the in-laws move out and I've got a nice big desk to work at!

Also, some dude brought in tapes 1-56 or Uresai Yatsura (sp?), that old Rumiko Takahashi anime series... so there was just this gigantic shitload of tapes, which (at $12.50 each) I can't imagine anyone ever buying, it's take a lifetime to watch them all (4 eps per tape!)

Kayo and I finally started working on the Spousal Visa paperwork we got last week. Not sucha big deal, we're already halfway done, it's just the hassle of explaining how you met, why you married, how you intend to learn the culture, pay the bills, and all that. I said to Kayo, as we sat at the kitchen table writing, "I doesn't matter what you say, just that you say something; they're weeding out all the people who don't really want the visa, or who are trying to con their way into a visa. Plus if we ever do an interview with 'em I'll just charm my way through it no problem, they'll love me!"

Kayo: Say anything, huh? <pretending to write> "None of your fucking business how we met! Just interview my husband, you'll ~love~ him!" <stabs pen into my eyeball>

So that's how the visa thing is going.

Also (and sorry for the crypticness) Hasami called and wants me now! (Hey, I can't publish -every- detail of my diary online!)
